Please don't troll us, Unknown

It shouldnt be up to your lacking taste or Skaffa's cyborg protocol to decide the maps

- Get 3v3/4v4 RTC rolling ( you have promised to do this, when was the last thing you produced something map-wise)

- Bring back dawn

- fix shot blockers on Omaha beach (only thing wrong with his map)

Add maps that allow you to flank enemy positions with your entire army. If thats not possible as in 99% of the 3v3 maps in EIR then dont add them. Thats the #1 rule as far as Im concerned and thats what my 'protocol' boils down to.

You can do that to any map. You just want maps wide enough where you can do it and not be seen.

To flank, you mearly must attack from 2 directions to overturn a defense line and you can do that on any map if you use the right tools and units.

So is bergen, and nuenen and many other 2vs2s that people like. Skaffa's theory on what constitutes a good map is entirely subjective.

That being said:

Thats up to the map author.

If someone makes a version that isn't a shameless 2vs2 stamped twice into a 3vs3/4vs4 they can go ahead and throw it at me.

Anyhow, I've been inactive and afaik someone else is doing map additions and stuff.

Im talking mostly about 3v3 maps. Ive always said their are some good 2v2 maps, but if you are blinded by a grudge towards me I can understand you dont want to take that into account.

Bergen needs to be wider too.

Nuenen is decent map but also does not enable flanking, because of the houses its easier to do little flanks around the houses cause they act as blockers. Also atgs on the right are affected by this, thats why the lack of flanking on the sides is not as bad on this map as on others.

Nobody is blinded by a grudge against you, Skaffa. Talk about inflated sense of interest.

Fact is what you consider "no-flank" maps cater to a different build than your "super pro flanks".

Being able to wade through support spam, dodge arty and bring & protect your own arty is valuable on the more enclosed maps. It requires a different skillset than just "swinging around" the 88.

I wasnt talking about you. If I was I would say something a long the lines of 'attention-whore', but Im not.

Now you can argue about what playstyle you prefer but I see no reason against making maps wide and long so that you can do both playstyles if you want. Most of the maps only cater to 1 playstyle or limit the other, thus preventing EIR from reaching its full potential.

You cant very effectively cater to both styles on the same map

Ofcourse you can. If we take Neuville, you can make big flanks if you want which you cant do on many other maps. But you can also go straight in, using smoke and whatnot, which you can do on any map.

bring back winds 4v4 citadell/countryside map

Thanks for the shoutout Dnicee.

I'm working on it at the moment to make it a little easier to play (although it's making me cry to have to dumb it down for the masses). I'll have a version out today.

Unknown can I have you add it to the map for a trial period when I'm done?
