Is it really necessary? V1 (and lancaster I would assume as well) I mean, it takes forever to drop, so it's incredibly easy to dodge, even when trying to hit stationary targets you can still be incredibly off. And to be honest, that's all I want out of my V1, to hit still targets, I know I'm not going to hit a mass of infantry unless I'm incredibly lucky or the opponent is not paying any attention. it's such a gamble I really don't feel it's worth buying, I've been using it quite a bit, and more times than not, it's useless, or in extreme cases, more deadly to my team than the enemy.

I believe this is the one off map where drift is unnecessary because it takes so long to come down, and it should truly only be used on stationary targets. Am I crazy or biased for thinking this?

YES! The drift makes it epic, you never know where it will land. Sometimes it misses, sometimes they move all their shit into it.

The way offmaps should be since they cost no munitions, manpower, or fuel.

V1s aren't supposed to just hunt stationary targets at all. that is stupid. hence the drift.

use it as a weapon of.. "terror". When the enemy hears the V1 coming they move all their MGs, ATGs etc. and there is your chance to rush in and strike.

well with the V1 Drift its really just a luck weapon,

you waste 2 unlock points on something that will either hit or miss, sure it creates panic to make every one move there units but thats it, what happens after that?

The warmap is like Dukenukem Forever.

No one thinks it will ever be released, then several years after everyone has given up the little hope they have it gets released from out of nowhere. And then it turns out it sucks.

V1 drift alright in my book. It seems like half the time it's used against me it ends up hitting half the stuff after I moved it.

Besides 2 unlock points for that amount of usefulness versus the american offmap arty for inf. The V1 is a great deal then.

V1 is more terrifying with drift. Drift also helps make it less of a "I'm keeping this around to pwn ur howi" weapon to a "whatever this hits, itll be epic" weapon. I got hit by one twice in a game cuz i had no fliippin idea where it was going to hit. One time it took out 2 atgs and a croc, it was lulz. I couldn't even get mad it was just "fawwk"

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

i think V1 is the only instant death offmap that i will accept.
No guarantee pure luck.

Not sure if V1s should be used for stationary units like howis at all. Maybe better used to counter a defense.  Watch all the units scatter into the wind.

without drift i know where it will be going and i would step out of the way. With drift i tell my guys to keep going and going until i know where it landed.

v1 is one of the few off maps that benefitted from the drift change.

used to be "hear v1, move...lulz miss"

now it's "hear v1, crap my pants, move, scatter units...still get hit"

Yeah, its more dual use now. old v1 was only used against stationary targets.
