Absolutely nothing.

Earlier today my croc vs storms in green cover (flames supposedly do more dam vs green) in a straight 1v1 face to face fight, croc dies.  Not only dis front armor not seem to matter, whats worse is neither did fire.  If croc cant win that kind of engagement what is its purpose?

Just FYI storms lost 1 man, lmao.

Flamethrower on the ami croc is horrible vs full health storms, you've better off crushing them. Which you had ample opportunity to with him not turning off his cloaking ability making them move super slow.  It has to do with them having a infantry armor type that doesn't take more damage from flames, flames killing by crits and them having high health preventing crits early.

I understand the explanation, but if a flame tank cant counter inf then its useless, or if it can only counter volks, MGs, and grens, its overpriced and it has zero efficiency.

Meaning if its best weapon is crush, and the inf T4 gives more range to its fail fire that it just seems so fail, lol.

I've had this problem before too, it's pretty retarded, but I guess you should have some kind of support with croc, even rifles to chip at them would help.

It's just storms they're bad against, as they have 90 HP/man. Granted, they'll go up like a torch if they have elite armor, but not otherwise.

In any case, you use the croc to kill their AI infantry, and use your inf/snipers to kill their AT inf.

So basically a croc plays the role of an LV (since it cant take on AT inf) but is priced and looks like a tank?

How? Flames vs projectile, ofc projectile is more effective vs single squads. Croc is more effective vs cover.

Not if its AT inf, just established that one.

Basically, the US croc blows, for a little more your better off with a sherman, or for less with a quad or 2, or T17s if you get the doc.

Its just kinda silly how a T4 buffs it, without actually improving its performance.

This is a- rage post, it smells like it too. Just because of 1 incident it doesn't make the unit shit.

Remember Mysthalin's croc company? It owned.

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

All Mysthalins companies own, your argument is invalid.

Try sending out your crocs in flame-paks of 2. Then they burn ANYTHING.

It wouldnt have bugged me nearly as much if it had at least damaged the stormies.  I could stomach having the croc lose to stroms, afterall they kill everything else.  But, my impression was that the croc's role is to be a hard counter vs inf, particularly for the price and the platform, but from what I've gathered in this thread its utility is equivalent to that of an M8 or quad, which seems lackluster given its price.

Now this one incident is evidence of a shit unit because its fail wasn't due to "luck" or RNG, it basically has weak armor (I think single shrek storms shot 3 times in the front and maybe 1 random AT shot), and it cant kill one of the 4 kinds of wher inf (volks, grens, KCH , and storms).

To BD:

Smokaz was in the game and witnessed it, his post kind of implies that too, and I guess killing the tank with K98s would have made as much sense as them being immune to fire.

keep a bar squad near a croc at all times. If infantry runs for cover (even storms) croc will rape them. If they go to red cover, bars smile.
