Find us a SCAR coder. But yea, timers & A/D are being looked at asap. The other SCAR stuff though, I'm not sure we'll be able to get to right away. Doctrines will be reviewed thoroughly in terms of balance. (This is something we can do with just RGDs)

Riki, you are probably the closest guess to date.
The Dev team totally gets it when people say they are sick of empty promises or lack of development, or just plain broken shit that doesn't get fixed. I guess in some weird backass way you have a right to complain.
But just for a moment, try to put yourself in our shoes. It has been going on 4years that Eirmod took on this project. He had a vision of what he wanted the end product to be, but didn't know "EXACTLY" how it was going to get there. He can;t do it all himself, so he enlisted the help of others.
Over that time, several of those "others" let their egos get the best of them or just wanted the mod to take different direction. So time is lost, time is wasted, and we try to pick up the pieces. The new people are enlisted and given freedom. But their personal opinions and agendas take over and more time is lost.
Meanwhile, a small but very vocal group of community members bash almost every change you make and every decision you make. Hey, sometime they are even right, but they are so aggressively insulting about it, it's hard to tell the bullshit from the reality.
All this starts to grind and grind and grind at you until you become cynical or just don't give a fuck anymore. Why would you want to spend hours programing code, or creating buttons, or tutorials when everyday it is endless bitching, fighting, and insulting in the very forums used for your mod.
There are some people in this community that were a part of this dev team at one time or another. Unfortunately for some, when things were not done "their way" they stormed off in a huff. Others left respectfully and understand you can't please everyone. Others stated the mod was fucked with out them - but low and behold, the mod does continue with out them.
So just for a second - put yourself in the shoes of the Dev team and ask yourself, "would I want to bust my ass daily for 4 years just to experience this everyday"?
I think if you are truly honest with yourself, you will begin to realize why productions is slow and we have troubles trusting people.

Since relic finally confirmed they are working on another coh title the most logical thing would be to wait and see what that is about. It's the closest thing to eirr if it uses the same (or improved) engine.

Hopefully CoH2 is on the horizon.
If it isn't, DoW3 is. They say Dawn of War 3 is going to be much more like the first one. Straight up drag out combat and bloodletting.
Depending on how it turns out it could be turned EiRR like. Infact it would fit the 40K theme of Tabletop better to have a dedicated Company of units which progress as you go.
Now, Dawn of War 1 didn't have Veterancy. I expect Dawn of War 3 will. Either way some mechanics could be added in.

I dont really understand why they are even bothering to make another COH IF that is actually what they are doing. Coh is already an awesome and groundbreaking game and has been for 5 years. No other RTS has even come close when it comes to micro, micro, or degree of skill.

Why wouldn't they want to make a CoH2? 5 years? Graphics improve quite a bit in that time. I mean look at BF2 and BF3, that's about a 5-6 year difference and god damn, they look different. I think BF3 was a big improvement, minus the fact that they simplified the class system and got rid of commander. But imagine what CoH2 would be like with a new engine!
So not only money, but it could potentially be a pretty bad ass game, and hopefully they look at their prior mistakes, and if they are smart they will take things that they see in mods and want to put that in their game as well.

Happened the moment he joined someones game for the first time, refused to listen to any shred of advice, get his men massacred then berate you for having the audacity to think to even try to help a new player, throw the game by surrendering (just over 7 min of course) then flame you on the launcher for and call the entire community a piece of shit because no one would play with someone who wasn't a team player, and when suggested that he could learn a thing or 2 from people advice on his second game fly into a fit and try to grief/block games.
At least volskinator just self flagellated for a while and finally stopped doing that
