Doesn't hurt to watch all of it and yes, the series wasn't quite on par with BoB. It was still a pretty good watch.

Yes, "The Pacific" coudn't reach band of brothers. A few years ago it was showed in TV i wachted the first episodes with a few of friends and got totally disappointed. It wasn't bad but we except much more of it. I think the reason of it is the naming of this movies. "Band Of Brothers" wanted to tell us a story about soldier which feeled as they we're brothers, they relay on each other and they count on each other. A really serious story about terrible moments and funny stuff they shared to together. A movie with emotional depth. "The Pacific" is a complete different story, maybe about the strange war in the pacific and the psychological effects on the soldier. The start of this episode was really sick and there we're a lot of bullets, it starts directly with the war confrontation. Band of brothers begins at the US training barracks and introduced all the main characters. I think it's wrong to compare The Pacific with the scale of Band Of Brothers because there both complete different. (But i did it and so i got dissapointed like you )

Demon posession is real and it's not funny, it's the creepiest thing you will ever experience.
I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

We need something like this from the eyes of Germans. It'd be worth a watch tbfh
I'm bored of watching yankee propaganda films where a small band takes on a whole country and suffers very little casualities.

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

+1 but I kinda think it will never happen. Who will give you big enough budget,so you can in a way make heroes of Germans? Although there are some movies from German perspective, like 'Stalingrad' . But hey,if Adolf won the war,we would had shit load of movies from German perspective

I just want to say one thing. Maybe it's obvious but in further time i noticed that people were acutally talking about this (Little kids which posts stupid commets about war movies on Youtube because they think that they were wapeon experts because they played Call Of Duty or a similiar shooter game). During the WW2 there we're "Ritterkreuzträger" (KCH), but these guys are not a special infantry squad (Like in Company Of Heroes) they were alltough normal soldiers which had made a special operation for the Wehrmacht and we're honored by the Ritterkreuz. (I don't know a exact example but it's a commendation like the "Purpil Heart").

Most WW2 movies focus on the ideologies and the bad guy vs good guy, but I can't remember a movie that focuses on the equipment and tactics being used in word war 2.

"You can always count on Americans to do the right thing—after they've tried everything else." The officer is considerably better than a riflemen squad at carrying weapons. Officers have good accuracy so they will hit most targets.

It's closer to something like a Distinguished Service Cross. Purple Heart is like a Wounded Badge, it's for getting hurt.

Indeed. +1 Radomly i found a documentation about Snipers and it's pure military propaganda. Everytime they spell each letter of the wapeon and pretend as they were the ultimate bad ass guys, also they use wapeon sounds, crosshairs and designs from common videogames to make it much more cooler for the younger people. That's not the truth. When i was younger i liked such documentation, movies etc. but now i can just laugh about it. It's closer to something like a Distinguished Service Cross. Purple Heart is like a Wounded Badge, it's for getting hurt. That's why i said there both commendation, but not for the same thing. I don't know a commendation which would fit the Ritterkreuz at best. Thanks for correction.
