Just a sad realization i had when playing JA was one of the most fun parts was creating a character, the fact that they cut it out just makes me really pissed off

i find it funny that game companies like to focus so much on action and forget the stuff that we loved.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Well, so far I kinda like the game... been playing for about an hour.
Not exactly Jagged Alliance, but we'll see how it holds up

An old-fashioned case of the nostalgia goggles. Thus far I'm fairly impressed with the fluidity of the game and I really cannot complain about it as of now. To be honest, I went into this game without any expectations of it whatsoever, and that allows me to appreciate it as it is: an innovative and unique strategy game. It's not exactly Jagged Alliance 2, but when they said "contemporary remake" I didn't automatically assume it would be as such.

I don't even see the need for such, considering in the hour-and-a-half I've played thus far you don't even see your character, except maybe in the intro cutscene.

Why would you get to customize a premade team of individuals.
It's a tactics game, not The Sims.

And nearly every other game of its type has allowed me to customize my own people so i can play the way i want. Oh wait, its so they can force you to buy "specialist" packs from steam so that you can be able to do it.

i think its a bit sad that the part of creating your own char by answering a bunch of funny questions was cut out
and furthermore i think weapons can't be modified by 2 things anymore (like silencer and scope etc)
and could it be that training of militia in secured areas isn't possible anymore?
otherwise it looks not that bad for a remake

You can still recruit militia... You walk up to voulenters and hand them a gun (and armor if you really care) they then become militia Downside of this system... you have to hand em guns, and you're always out of money in the early game So my solution... Combat knives for the cannon fodder!

steroid and fox in same team? wasn't that a nogo cos fox hates steroid? You can still recruit militia... Combat knives for the cannon fodder! yeah i figured that out but its kind of stupid, as far as i remember u needed some skills and time to be able to train militia fast and if you improved them to veterans they were holding quite well against the government soldiers

Tihi, I hired fox first and then steriod, but whenever a battle starts she says something bad about him, hehehe They hold their own pretty well actually if you give them body armor and proper weapons, but it's up to you if you want to spend for it... might actually be worth it on a few of the roadblock areas.
