Well I would not generally be surprised to see atheism on the rise, it tends to be common among the angsty, spoiled youth of first world countries.

From the research that i have done its only about 20% of the population that are atheists. While that does make it one of the most atheistic countries in the world,  its vastly distant from a majority.

The vast majority of the people that are in the state church are either agnostic or atheist. I'm a member for an example, but I'm not exactly Christian.

Demon posession is real and it's not funny, it's the creepiest thing you will ever experience.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

In fact there's a direct correlation between IQ, education and atheism.

Whilst poverty, lack of education and low IQ is directly correlated to religiosity.

Bwahahahaha... oh good lordy, this is some funny comedy right here... from my experience (people of all ages) only about 3/20 actually belive in christianity, while more do think there is a higher power Sweden is really, really not a god toating country...

What I find more funny is that study I saw not to long ago from the US were aithests were found less trustworthy than criminals... that was a funny one, proboably doesnt have anything to do with religion either  Roll Eyes

Yeah, I'm not really sorry if I come of as an ass right now, but I'd like the source to that research Spartan. It's proboably just the fact that a lot of people are born registered with the church and cant be arsed to "Fix" it/arent really aware of it because that's how little it means to most people here.

Nikomas, if more people believe in a higher power then they are not atheists...

If you could, what are the numbers for the people that believe in something compared to Atheists. That means any and all religions as well as Agnostics.

I never really specified that they are all Athiests did I? Personally as it stands science cant explain everything, and I might be inclined to belive that there is "Something" higher out there.

But that does not make me religious, mearly not being dumb enough to think someone has "All the answers" and certainly not gullible enough to think that god would really want us to live by a book written by humans way way in the past.

I'm willing to bet a lot of people are like me, but they are falsely either labeled as "Religious" for beliving there might be a higher power, or Athiests for simply not beliving in one of the established religions.

Either way, the person described above is not religious by any definition I know.
