I really have to agree with Ampm, there are some imbalances (Marder III, I'm looking at you) but these are caused by mismatched numbers and damage tables more than anything.  I think that in a couple patches OF will be very well balanced.

Marder III is the pwn. Thats it

PE don't really need a nerf, just learn not to use an infantry swarm against them. As Stump and I have said, its pretty damned balanced right now, and while some units are rediculously effective in their role (Marder) they get owned pretty damn fast by AT infantry or guns.

The majority of the high ranked, very skilled, very experienced players think PE is over powered in multiple areas.  I agree with them.

PE is quite overpowered in some areas, and it is becoming depressing to play allies at times.

earlier today i battled a PE player who obviously knew what he was doing, i was playing brits and secured tw VPs on sturz and dug a trench in at each to be back up with a bren gun later when i could afford it.

i was expanding quickly and thouroughly to gain as much income as possible but they managed to out expand me and had mortar halftracks before destroying my men before i could even get sappers.

I am no beginner to playing as the british, i have played many good games but i keep getting overrun either by massed PG armed with schrecks, which even massed commandos werent able to get rid of or by massed hetzers, marders or MT-HTs

I dunno Ucross, I haven't had any issues beating PE, or winning as PE. Its just a matter of picking the right units for the job. Then again, if most of those top ranked RO players are allies, then yes I would expect them to be whining. The regulars of Relic do not seem to have half a brain between them.

Note that most of these pros saw the problems with Wher vs. Amer. And you completely agreed with them at that time. Well, so did I, to some extent.

Lets put it this way; Americans, with the Rangers, is still worse than PE. Practically every "pro" agrees with that.

At least Amer. vs. Wher. vs. Brit. is commonly found to be balanced atm. So all that's left is to balance the PE.

against the wher, the only problem ive found with my brits is the flammenwerfer being around  before i can get anything to take it, but i need to find a way to beat this, i cant complain as if you do the right moves as brits both the wher and sometimes the PE will have trouble defeating your forces.

Someone will find a new Brit/American strat which makes the PE completly redundant at some point soon. Its the way CoH works.

To counter the flammenwerfer, I try to get a Bofors up as soon as I can. That thing will destroy halftracks to pieces in seconds.

Just button it up, and move in the PIAT commandos. 3 hits and its 100? munitions down the sink for the Axis.

Keep in mind the flametrack is a HUGE investment of the axis, and if they buy one they are likely forsaking MP40s and Pshrecks.

Pump out a stuart, shotgun shell the unupgraded grens, nuke his flametrack, and crack open a cold one

early trenches kill early pe.....i fell a uber nerfing disturbance coming to the force in the near future.....(axis side that is)....anyways....i really hate british..when ur jadpanther has to sit in a spot for 10 mins to blow up a squad in a trench...its like comon....the bad thing about pe is the lack of suport crews....

That's why I'm always Luftwaffe.  Anti-Building grenades work wonders.   Grin

Any weapon with fire will suffice against trenches, plenty of options tbh.

i am forever being forced out of trnches becuase of the masses of flame weapons that can be utilised, and people on relic forums want the trenches undeletable, do they understand what will happen to the brits with real way of removing the enemy from their own trench?

on another subject, why dont tommies get grenades? the basic infantry of all the other teams has access to them, the rifle grenades are too inaccurate to be used effectively against trenches or troops in cover,  its hard enough to get them to shoot straight at buildings.

Rifle grenades are awesome against troops in trenches. If you don't believe me, try it.
