Oh my god this game rules. Hahaha. In the training mission for the soviets one of my squad members tried to throw an AT grenade at a Puma, hit a wall, and killed the entire squad.

What I always loved about the series is how you can shoot through buildings or create gaps in them on purpose.
On top of that there's direct control and the amazing combat system.

The damage model the series feature was astonishing and revolutionary for the time.

I'll try to get my hands on this game, hopefully you guys don't get bored of it before i have it Tongue

One thing though about FoW. I find it really hard to control more than one unit at a time.

I know I know, but for example, my game with ampm versus I forgot in the desert mod. I had two stuarts and a daimler, and I control grouped my two staurts and told them to go to when I was sending my direct controlled daimler. I ender up killing 3 p3s with my daimler while my stuarts sat around killing a bit of infantry.

You seem to have problems like that with CoH too...

It's more for the "hardcore" RTS'er than the casual.

I figure it like this, if I can micro in Faces, then my CoH micro shall be pwnz.

Its like training by running in water.

I just didn't get what anything actually did and my men didn't obey me.

faces of war is prett easy but you have to pay attention. A medium tank can kill a tiger if the tiger is left alone.\
Also I like the fact that flamethrowers can kill the crew of a tank.

How did you get the demo working?  The SP demo gives an error on install and the MP demo says my license is expired or some such.
