Greasguns are great for 3 reasons
1; they have a high fire rate and because of that there is a natural fear of them.

2. they are on a platform which is designed to DIE so you will IF YOU ARE WILLING TO GET FULL PRICE, sacrifice them to last man, this will make them extra dangerous,

3: Because they are on a cheap platform you can get a lot more of them aka even if you loose 2 to 1 kch you will still have 2 more where the other player will not always have 1 more kch.

I doubt 1 vet 0 can do much to a vet 3 4 man kch with health kits :L 1 at a time you would probably lose 1-2 menz as you closed the distance losing dps.

okey... well tell me how often you think its only 1 facing a kch?

I would admit that one would have troubles, but i think i wrote loose 2? and that was stupid on my part, i meant also to write you run with 2 at a time, also making good use of smoke grenades.

The theory is strong with this one. But yes if you close the distance without taking much damage since MP44 have some decent medium range firepower and 2v1 yes you would win easily thats quite alot of guns.

Now OFC there is often the fact you will be facing 2 Kch, but you should also have support with you, there are several factors that way in, in the end, so di say if you want cheap and reliably well preforming assault teams go grease guns.

Triple BAR Riflemen or Grease Guns & Smoke nade Riflemen are both viable AI options. The grease guns admittedly takes more micromanagement and skill to pull off but if you are capable of it then they can become pure killing machines (especially against HMGs and KCH and other STG44-equipped units).

Since they account for completely different playstyles you will need to adapt and change your company to help overcome obstacles. For example if you go with Grease Guns you will probably need more HMGs and if you go with BARs then you will need more Mortars (at least one).

If you can kill like 2 men from a KCH squad with greases you are good tbh and that is not that hard if you stay defensive with them against KCH which you should be doing imo.
You can fend of KCH with them and that seems pretty to me considering the price difference.

grease guns might be a cheaper alternative, but i still say bars being able to supress the heaviest AI infantry unit ingame is pretty nice and wether you charge them or he you, you still make it out alive.

i was never a fan of 2 Bars.
Seemed if the suppression was used up, US inf would get owned at any range. Close, med, long. Or they wont do enough harm, axis back up will show up, and destroy my inf.

So went GG. Man they were shredding things up. And its slightly cheaper.

Best inf build i did was TR.
Ranger zook w/ grenade.
Rifleman GG
Jumbo (b/c axis blobs hurt. And regular shermans are pussys)
ATG (biggest reason to go TR)
Fill in the rest.

Against oak leaves. Since most people have successful runs with just 1 oak leaf i think that loan inf squad often gets overlooked in favor for a juicier target, maybe explains why they get pwned by GG. Next to flammers i think GG helped me the best with KCH. OMG FUCK THOSE GUYS

Not sure if smoke grenade works. Do GG work well in smoke?

3 BARs is roughly the DPS output of 2.25 LMGs. AKA, ROFLSTOMPS.

Better than Grease Guns anywhere except close range, and even then pretty good. On top of that, you get Suppression Fire and decent moving accuracy.
