You can find primary documents like that about every country in existence. There next to meaningless due to the amount of people in various countries that have an axe to grind against someone.

Both countries have put themselves into this place, i tire of tym's failed attempts to make me look like a hatemonger. When the truth is both countries have been at fault for a long time now.

Does it matter if Iran has nukes? no Does it matter if Israel does? no.

But what does matter is that were not there, and those 'primary documents' for all we know could be that crazy "Jesus" nut holding a sign down the street that some US reporter knew would make primetime if they recorded it as important due to our ignorance born of distance and lack of real ties.

Yeah the world needs more nukes, it's especially good if countries like Iran and North Korea gets them.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

Its not countries i worry about its those who don't associate with a country but an ideal of some form who actually have the intent to use them.

Spartan, actually my history professor recently came back from Iran, she of course took a ton of pictures. Yea, the people actually seem pretty much like normal folks. Women wear a head wrap but don't have to wear anything across their face, they wear normal clothes if they want, etc.

It's far less "Crazy" than Saudi Arabia.

You know nothing of Saudi Arabia if you think it's "crazy". If anything I'd say it's one of the most stable Middle Eastern countries.

If you are referring to extremist muslims as "crazy" then Saudi takes the cake. It is the most oppressive regime in the area as well.

North Korea is stable, they don't have riots or protests. Does not mean it's not a fucked up nation.

Saudi Arabia is perfectly fine as a country. Whereas North Korea daily commits horrid abuses of human rights against their own citizens by failing to provide the necessities of life for them, Saudi society is simply very Islamic, not necessarily a bad thing. I disagree with their use of the death penalty for crimes such as witchcraft (quite antiquated), but other than these little idiosyncrasies I could just as easily label the American South as "crazy" as well.

but north korea is mainly having those issues because of sanctions against them by the UN and then the country puts most of the money it does have towards its leaders and military.

They make more than enough to feed their people, they simply choose to spend the money elsewhere. Removing UN sanctions wouldn't change that, it would only give them a bigger military budget.

Friend of mine recently visited Iran as well, said it was an amazing country with incredibly warm and open people. They all hated their leader (Adhmadinijad) and many of them love the US. It's a shame really that Iran has such a bad reputation, all because of who's in charge. (It's comparable to Bush leading the US for 8 years, he too was a warmonger and a tool, didn't mean the average american was)

Vermilion is absolutely clueless it seems. Yes, that 'stable' middle-east US ally is in fact an oppressive regime. Yes, the US does (and has many times in the past) in fact support(ed) oppressive regimes for their own gains.

Even the US government admits this. (Though they would rather keep it quiet, and at any rate they wouldn't be able to change anything about it)

Quote
The following significant human rights problems were reported: no right to change the government peacefully; torture and physical abuse; poor prison and detention center conditions; arbitrary arrest and incommunicado detention; denial of fair and public trials and lack of due process in the judicial system; political prisoners; restrictions on civil liberties such as freedoms of speech (including the Internet), assembly, association, movement, and severe restrictions on religious freedom; and corruption and lack of government transparency. Violence against women and a lack of equal rights for women, violations of the rights of children, trafficking in persons, and discrimination on the basis of gender, religion, sect, and ethnicity were common. The lack of workers' rights, including the employment sponsorship system, remained a severe problem.

Let me see if I have understood it: Iran is close to developing nuclear weapons so Israel want to take them out?

Ya dude, but the way I hear it, they're just friends.

Nothing serious.

Platonic and shit.

Ya know?

Perfectly fine as a country???!! Are you completely NUTS?!

If I travel to Saudi Arabia tomorrow and see a man beating his wife to death on the street, and I try to intervene, he is legally allowed to kill me. Does that sound perfectly fine?!

Any country where women are treated as chattel, and a man is fully within his rights to kill her on whim without the slightest fear of reprecussion, is anything but fine. Also, any country where a huge majority of the workforce are immigrants with zero rights is not a perfectly fine country. I have friends whose parents barely escaped Saudi Arabia because of how companies there confiscate the passports of millions of immigrant workers so that it's almost impossible for them to leave the country.

You have a very strange sense of fine.

Also, LOL

It's just sad that his kind of mentality belies why countries like Saudi Arabia have gotten away with massive human rights injustices for so long.

They're all a bunch of fuck heads over there in the middle east. I guess all that sun and sand really messes with your head. That's why we should drill here and build that oil sands pipeline along with more refineries so we don't have to buy shit from them. Then we can just let the whole region kill each other off and watch the show from the sidelines.
