Soooo... Codename Panzers then? FLAMETHROWER AND TANKCREW SPAM GOOOOOOOOO

(Fyi, in codename panzers you could use flamethrowers to force tank crews to abandon it, then you waited till it cooled down and you could steal the tanks unopposed... even KT's, lol)

""Exposure" is the key word here. The longer you're moving your troops through deep snow during a blizzard, or neglect to provide shelter for them in buildings or troop transports, the shorter their battlefield life expectancy becomes. When the thermometer gauge above the squad drops, they'll be turned into a bunch of human icicles.

"This becomes a vital part of gameplay, because you can deny your enemy by destroying buildings, or by destroying his campfires, or by knocking out his troop transports," explains Duffy. "Players are going to move around the world in a very dynamic manner, reacting to weather, and bringing in the right units at the right time."

So all I can read this as, we are now forced to have APC's with us constantly...? Yaaa... Eh, not really :/

The main selling point of Coh2 for me is that there is no british faction.

No more chuck norris starting infantry that are better when blobbed, no more emplacements, no more kangaroos and staghounds, no more trucks that are both observation points, build and reinforcement points.

"In the "Coldest Winter" expansion pack the player will be able to take on the Lend-Lease Russian faction - which use all your favorite mechanics from the British faction in CoH: Opposing Fronts. Emplacements, HQ trucks and hardy mainline infantry - they're all here to come back with a vengeance!

The Pacific Front and the Vietnam War are not exactly good themes for a RTS game because the battlefield will be 100% forest. It didn't even work for MOW:Vietnam which is largely based on squad base combat while COH is based on open and large(r) scale combat.

One thing is certain. Every Finnish modder will wet their pants if the game actually is moddable. See me in Winter Wars and Continuation war mods then Grin

Actually, someone should suggest Relic to make a immediate expansion called Winter War. Finns vs Russians yaaay

Simple: Korea made America look bad, and unlike Vietnam, it was kept mostly quiet from the general public at the time, hence it being termed the "Forgotten War". Not to mention the average idiot will likely not even know of its existence, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who knows more of it than the extent you learn of it from M*A*S*H*.

US were stupid. ruskies said "don't go past that line" and we did and they whopped us (or was it chinese? forget exactly who but they were red)

vietnam was just stupid and we should've never gotten involved.they also tried a holding war rather than trying to win the war.

"lets keep hitting them hard, they'll give up" omg, vietname politicians sound like al qeada "hit america hard enuff, they'll quit" smh

China.

North Korea invaded South Korea and the United Nations security council held a vote on an intervening police action. All permanent members on the UN Security council have veto power. Russia, who has veto power instructed it's diplomat not to cast a vote or a veto. Thus allowing the UN a mission on the Korean peninsula.

The South Koreans and UN forces eventually stopped the North Korean attack and countered back to the Yalu river. Where somehow the Chinese had gotten 200,000 troops across it with no one noticing?

It'd definitely make a great game. It has aspects of both the first and second world wars as far as military tactics and strategy go. Not only that but a successful and popular game would do alot to shed more light on the conflict and at least education is a potent tool. Even if it is from a video game.
