This guy.

He didnt real the article even after I mention it yet he likes to talk shit.

Edit: And uhh, actually people put mines around buildings all the time in VCoH. The most popular form of this is the M8 greyhound rush where they mine were the late pak somes out.

lol yep, people get so mad when you do that.

Its a simple mechanic, how do we NOT know about its flaws? Oh yeah thats right some of us arn't even intelligent enough to understand the difference between a complex mechanic and simple mechanic.

You build infantry. They all come on map from one predefined point. The article explained it quite well. Now GTFO if you have nothing logical to add.

The article said that units are deployed behind your base, so it's likely defended by base mgs.

The mechanic is there for realism and gameplay purposes specifically so that things like an m8 cant go into your base and plant mines.

It's also possible that they deploy from impassable fog of war or have some kind of invincible spawn buff like in EIR or units deploy in smoke. The article also said that you will be able to change these spawn points. So if someone is gonna place mines there, he's probably gonna have to place several to hit anything.

But one thing is for sure, they would not introduce this drastically game changing new mechanic and keep loopholes like that.

I believe the term is unskilled labor.

For all we know you might just be the guy who 'balanced' another Sup Com 2.

Hey, I know the balance guy for Supcom 2. The ironic thing is the game wasn't balanced by him as the balance lead. Supcom 2 was balanced by upper management. That game sealed it's fate the moment it hit the drawing board.

Whenever games get input by people who don't touch it, it will generally fail.

A lot of the C&C games got too much upper management input and got derailed, Tiberian Sun got changed so many times, it should've been epic but turned into a cult classic.

What alpha said, plus the title is officially balance designer...which is apart of the design department.

I sit right beside all the other designers including Quinn Duffy and Matthew Berger. It really is an amazing team, I can't wait for you guys to be able to play the game. Best job I have had to date, hoping to stay a while.

I will try to give out some closed beta keys when I can. I also do rely your comments to the design team FYI. Some of you are misinformed though unfortunately, so keep reading and hopefully things will get sorted out.

Sooo... you should like... ask them... about... just maybe... maybe... homeworld
Anyway, that's quite the cool job... might actually have to drop a serious comment or two then, heh  Smiley

But seriously, if they can, ask them to keep cloak and "lolsprinttroughsupression" abilties to a minimum  Wink

Yeah, probably. He's been exec producers on some crappy games. best game he ever credited on was allied assault, i got a chance to go to eala and beta test it. They were kinda upset i breezed through it and made it harder lol

You know the "movies" that were made with the coh stuff? Like the saving private ryan one? I'm not sure, but I think the NIS is that cutscene/script editor thingy used for that.
