Launcher version 0.8.B-1 has just been released, and with it, the public beta.

There has been a FULL WIPE for this, including profile.
You need to re-register for the Launcher - and ensure that your FORUM DISPLAY NAME matches your DISPLAY NAME (on the forum).
Failure to do so will result in your account being wiped and removed.

tankedit: Do not use the Create a new account feature in the launcher. Use the Register for the Launcher link at the side of this page.

So, onto the warmap details!

The warmap is made of sectors to fight over.

Firstly, deploy yourself to a sector (spawn point) notated by a large circle with your factions icon.

Next, because you will probably be behind the lines, set yourself to Defend, or Support action.
These actions will boost the defence/support value of the sector you are in.

After your first battle is completed (as normal, in COH), you will gain an Action point.
These action points allow you to move your company, and deselect doctrine selections.

Move to the front lines, and attack a neutral or enemy territory and take it over!

Warmap numbers at the bottom of the warmap screen
CW-US-WM-PE
PP is no longer gained on a per-person basis.
It is gained after a battle is completed, and you put points into the doctrine selection at the battle results screen.
PP total = Faction points / 100.

If you choose 'Strategy' instead of 'Doctrine' at this point, your next battles warmap affect, will be boosted by 20 per point invested, regardless of victory margin.  This may be the path to take if you are attempting to ensure the downfall (or defence) of a falling sector.

The advantages screen has changed too.
You no longer select your Resource bonuses.
Instead, you gain an amount equal to what you hold on the warmap.

As an additional bonus, if you are located in a sector with a resource bonus, you will get resources equal to what the OPPONENT would get -1 sector.

There are many more things to come, and this guide is but a scratch on the surface (A more verbose one will be posted later no doubt)

Oh man, sounds cool! I'm wondering if "extra" resources come from the sectors you hold I imagine it will have a rather large effect on say who is attacking what, obviously if I'm running an armor company I'm going to be gunning for those fuel dumps!

Very interesting can't wait to see how it plays out.

How do you know if you are attacking or defending ?   If im defending sector behind frontline at start and other players are also defending  what happens?

Also what happens when people are doing different things ?  attack support defend ?  How do you know if the game sets ME attack or defend?

Each action is set on the warmap - YOU choose that.  You obviously cant attack allied sectors, so you must move to the frontline (costs 1 action, which you get after a battle).

When people are 'Doing different things' each players chosen Attack, Defend or Support action has different % modifiers (which you see after everyone has S'd).  Then, it rolls that percentage die, and you find out when the game starts in COH.

Today I had some games with the new Warmap and I need to say that I like it. But to behonest, I'm a bit unsure how the warmap mechanics actually work...  Cheesy.

Never saw so many people in the launcher and 3vs3's at the same time. But it's hard to get a decent game *fair* because some old rusty players
woke up and appered from out of nowhere. Espacially it seems that some players are a bit afraid about the impact of the warmap of the company
builds and tempt to play a more unfair game to made nothing wrong.


Random gamemodes are epic! In one game we deployed our regular stuff and then were are slowly noticed that were playing AX+...  (Fuuuuuu Grin)
