God, it just pains me to see Nug post....... and he is right......

We kinda screwed the game with all the repairs and cheap vehicles. Tanks should be rare, not the core of a company.

i would like to see more variety of infantry. but also medium tanks.
Im no fan of heavies in a game. 20 shots later and tiger is half dead. Combine that with some other heavies and maybe an 88 and shreks or heavy inf... its basically going to roll over anything.

medium tanks have that right balance as in they can trump inf units but they arent god. Few good hits and they are done for. Then comes the heavies and throw a wrench in the whole balanced inf vs med tank fights.

WTF are you talking about?

Tiger has what, 1000hp, AT 150 damage per ATG shot. You can literally kill it with a single M18....

Panther has 700HP.

All I see in your post is the usual crying about Axis. L2P

And armor really scares you that much, go some heavy AT doctrine, like RE... Every shot a 17pdr takes at a heavy goes "Troll... Troll... APDS troll..."

20 shots later even if they all pounce the Tiger would be rather dead. 87.5 per 57mm pounce totals of 1750 damage. Only thing that can survive that is KT as it has more health than most of the others (excludes maus).

Mediums are garbage which is why Heavy is more appealing.

Why would I want a P4 that is not only slow, bad armor, expensive, medicore at everything when I can have a faster panther, with one of the best ingame armors and better range and higher damage? Expensive yes but has easier time to make up its cost than P4.

Pricing changed everything.

Back in the day panther was more expensive and used more pop, you could have only 2 without anything else  or buy 6 p4s or 8 stugs, so we actualy could see more medium tanks because you could have a lot of them.

Today i can have 3 panthers and 2 stugs lol, so it's a no brainer no one will take 6 p4s if he can have 3 panthers and a p4 or 2 stugs.

that's only because the current metagameplay has created them for this.

AB spam with RRs meant something when you could drop waves after waves of them with increased pen and dmg, tigers used to run away,  nowdays RRs bounce of panthers rear lmao, and you use 3 waves of them and you are out of MU.

thats true nug, RRS will penetrate everything from under a panther but mahn when a panther shows his ass its just as good as his front.

I actually think the rear pen modifier is 3+ and they probably get a damage bonus.

Never have trouble with heavies as Allies, then again, I use TDs.

TD's changed everything, there used to be much less of them, so Panzer IVs had a role. Now they just die to the first vehicle with a gun that comes along.

P4's still have a role and provide them very well  they bounce more shots then shermans and cromwells. they may not be able to defeat a sherman upgun but a regular sherman i believe they will beat.

I regularly see demon, windcries mary and other players get quite a few kills. in my opinion i think shermans have a harder time since schreks and storms and the such are nice counters and do very good damage against shermans, where as a ranger squad wont penetrate the front and will have to flank and stickies are only good at vet2 .

Personally I prefer the more tank-centric gameplay of EIRR over for example the EIR days of 10k manpower. Though I wouldn't entirely object to a small decrease in overall fuel. Sometimes games tend to revolve a little too much about AT, essentially watering down gameplay to 'kill all their ATs to win the game'. (Because it takes a lot of skill, and patience, to field medium tanks effectively. Only when you wear out the massive AT options on the table do they generally stand a good fighting chance)

It's all about personal preferences though, some people will prefer more infantry centric gameplay where as others will prefer the vehicle game more.

I don't like it when you make sense Deadbolt. It scares me.

Why cant you just put a silly picture and invoke the wrath of the mods resulting in lulz?

>.>

people forget i actually know what im about on about in coh and that im not just a forum troll... trolling and dodging a ban is harder than arguing with half the spastics on this forum ^^, plus trolling is alot more fun that arguing til im blue in the face.

I don't know man, I've seen one vet 3 hvap sherman take on 3 p4's and win. At the end of the fight one AT gun did manage to help out on the last two p4's but the sherman did most of the work. I feel that shermans are a little bit easier to vet then p4's are.

I miss that Sherman. But yes, Shermans > P4 by far.
