I really dont think thats the case at the moment. Although the words "It has the potential to be better than M&B" are more fitting. |

If thats to me than yeah, thats what im doing until War of the roses improves some more. Am I not aloud to criticize a new game or something? If thats to baine, well he wants to find a better game of the same type. Obviously we all want that. If we didnt we would all be playing ground control and doom right now. |

Sounds like someone didn't actually like M&B. War of the Roses is just shinier, not actually close to being better (yet) |

I didn't play WotR yet, that's why i put "looks".
I played M&B probably before you even knew about it :-O But as time goes by you want things to develop, and WotR looks like a good mix between M&B and the half life mod Age of Chivalry.

I don't know how you knowing about M&B before I did is relevant, but I did play a bit of M&B in its really early days of pre-release, so I get to claim hipster status too. I too want the game to develop and for War of the roses to be better than M&B, but I wont jump the gun and say its better just because of the hype. |

Just played a few more games of War of roses, 30 man games still lag far more than 140 man games on M&B. Combat still doesnt feel fluid. You frequently walk through enemies and end up missing because your inside of him. I have yet to understand the armour rating system though. Sometimes I get nice 70+ dmg hits. Sometimes I get shity 10~20 dmg hits against the exact same guy. Sometimes I do absolutely no damage. Not sure if its influenced by speed like M&B, because when I see a enemy running towards me and me towards him and I swing I still sometimes I still do little damage. Blocking apears to be near useless. Blocking is required in M&B and in here it seems you get away with spamming quite easily, and that most people hardly ever block at all.
Although I must praise the customization system. Different fighting styles, different blade materials, different edges for the blade, ect are all pretty nice. Just need the devs to work on that netcode and make the combat much better.
