Hey, let's do the limbo rock
Lall lalla lahallla...
Okay now that we have established the context of the problem, here it is in plain words:
EIRR launcher has turned into a diva castle.
Everyone is now expecting to have perfect teammates all the time. Most of the time I have to beg players to join games or waddle around on ventrilo PMing people left and right. It's obvious that the players in question are
looking for a game cause once a bearsoul/yoye/farmengrosse17 type of game becomes available they all limbo down under that pole to get in on some stomping.
Here's the truth of things, you get to be picky when you are the carry. When you're the scrub (Hi, my name is Scottishprince) you should not aspire to behaviour of the carry, but aspire to actually be a carry.
Improving your chances of win is so easy. How many players actually go to the length of asking their other teammates questions like:
a) What do you plan to start with?
b) What doctrine are you?
c) How many bikes/jeeps/snipers do you have?
d) Do you have a heavy tank?
e) Does anyone have mortar smoke?
And suddenly, the team is a hell of a lot more capable. Anyone can ask & answer this kind of question, it doesn't take a PHD in media communications to do it.
Here's another ZING for you. When you play with 2 friends even if you all play EIRR by hitting the keyboard with a paint brush, it's
still a stack. Thus when 3 other "organized" players join, their prerogative is exactly the same as yours. Can you figure out the conclusion of this?
A prime example happening in launcher now. Heartmann and pony are trying to get a game t o g e t h e r. I am trying to get a game. But somehow, if it is me and yoye, it's a balanced game, but if I am to play with Dnice whom I share a similar relationship to as heartmann and pony probably have, then it's a outrageous stack.
The rules are somehow being kept when Heartmann and Pony are playing together, but when I want to play with Dnice vs them, they are being broken. I am trying to see where the difference is, where I am going wrong with wanting to play with a friend vs two friends. I just can't find the difference?
Please consider just saying "No I dont want to play player X because I never win against him" instead of doing all sorts of trickery and voodoo to avoid having to make any effort when you obviously care so much about how the game plays out that you will play the violin for 30 minutes before the game starts.
