Launcher Issues:1. When I launch I get an error report saying I don't have kernel32.dll or autoupdater crashes on launch. For anyone having this problem, do two things.
a. Run this program.
CLICK HEREThis will tell fix you if you have a bad .NET, XNA, or DirectX install.
b. If that program says you're good to go, download and install the Games for Windows Live Redist.
CLICK HEREThis helped Osprey and Rayze, hopefully works for everyone else as well.
c. If you've done both of those things, try installing this.
CLICK HERE2. On install I am getting a "dsetup.dll Not Found" error.Still investigating - post up computer specs.
Gameplay Issues:1. The game starts fine but when me or my opponents' troops get to deploy the game ends and me or my opponent gets a victory/loss.Whoever gets the loss screen upon deployment is the one with the problem here. There are 2 possible reasons for this problem to occur.
a. You have not set up your platoons properly. Make sure all units are assigned to platoons.
b. Your Relic Online name needs to fully match your War Control panel username. Case sensitivity applies.
For example, if your username on Relic Online is "
Bravo" and your War control panel is "
bravo", it will not work!
You can modify your profile on the website, just fix up your WCP name and you're good to go!
2. We didn't finish our game (for whatever reason) and it says my company is still "engaged".To fix this, you will need to manually force the battle.
Go to the Profile tab on the launcher and click the 'Force battle' button.
3. Our battle successfully ended but didn't report.Follow the abandon instructions above.
4. We get into the game but the minimap remains black and the game does not start. This is a problem with one or multiple player's battlefiles. First thing to do here is pretty simple, try re-launching the game through the launcher and see if it solves the problem. If the problem persists, the battle files might not have been extracted properly. In most cases, this is a Vista problem. You need to make sure the Launcher is run on Administrator settings.
5. My game starts, but shows no call-ins and I have resources. This is usually one of two things.
First, you are running Vista with UAC on. Turn UAC off, or run the EIRRLauncher file as an administrator. Second, there is a chance that some anti-virus programs read a false-positive on one of EIRR's files (libcurl.dll). (This has been reported on ZoneAlarm, F-Secure, and Kaspersky). What usually happens then is that this file gets 'quarantined'. Add libcurl.dll to the 'Do Not Quarantine' list, and you should be great.
