Launcher Issues:
1. When I launch I get an error report saying I don't have kernel32.dll or autoupdater crashes on launch.

For anyone having this problem, do two things.

a. Run this program. CLICK HERE

This will tell fix you if you have a bad .NET, XNA, or DirectX install.

b. If that program says you're good to go, download and install the Games for Windows Live Redist. CLICK HERE

This helped Osprey and Rayze, hopefully works for everyone else as well.

c. If you've done both of those things, try installing this. CLICK HERE

2. On install I am getting a "dsetup.dll Not Found" error.

Still investigating - post up computer specs.

Gameplay Issues:
1. The game starts fine but when me or my opponents' troops get to deploy the game ends and me or my opponent gets a victory/loss.

Whoever gets the loss screen upon deployment is the one with the problem here.  There are 2 possible reasons for this problem to occur.

a. You have not set up your platoons properly.  Make sure all units are assigned to platoons.

b. Your Relic Online name needs to fully match your War Control panel username. Case sensitivity applies.

For example, if your username on Relic Online is "Bravo" and your War control panel is "bravo", it will not work!

You can modify your profile on the website, just fix up your WCP name and you're good to go!

2. We didn't finish our game (for whatever reason) and it says my company is still "engaged".

To fix this, you will need to manually force the battle.

Go to the Profile tab on the launcher and click the 'Force battle' button.

3. Our battle successfully ended but didn't report.

Follow the abandon instructions above.

4. We get into the game but the minimap remains black and the game does not start.

This is a problem with one or multiple player's battlefiles.  First thing to do here is pretty simple, try re-launching the game through the launcher and see if it solves the problem.  If the problem persists, the battle files might not have been extracted properly. In most cases, this is a Vista problem.  You need to make sure the Launcher is run on Administrator settings.

5. My game starts, but shows no call-ins and I have resources.

This is usually one of two things.

First, you are running Vista with UAC on.  Turn UAC off, or run the EIRRLauncher file as an administrator.  Second, there is a chance that some anti-virus programs read a false-positive on one of EIRR's files (libcurl.dll).  (This has been reported on ZoneAlarm, F-Secure, and Kaspersky).  What usually happens then is that this file gets 'quarantined'. Add libcurl.dll to the 'Do Not Quarantine' list, and you should be great.

If you have any problems, upload your EuropeInRuinsBattle file and the log file from your most recent game.

Zozol, do you have Vista?  If you do, make sure that you are running in Administrator mode.

Make sure that you have XNA 2.0 which is required to be able to run the launcher.

Same problem, downloaded today with v1.04 updater. Up to date with XNA, etc...

Happens mostly when I click on or in the Doctrine tab for the first time. Using an old Forum login, mite be corrupted. EventType : clr20r3.

http://forums.europeinruins.com/index.php?topic=8025.30

Check this thread, it solved a lot of people's problems.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en

In particular install this. I had a problem with launcher crashing in Vista with UAC off, but installing this direct X thingy solved mine and osprey's problems with launcher.

On XP. Not getting kernel32.dll errors. DirectX seemed to make it a bit more stable but still crashes clicking between the 4 factions randomly.

Did you try launching again?

The launcher crashes periodically at launch; just try again.

If you are behind firewalls etc give EIRRlauncher permission to go through the firewall.

If you have a router and windows firewall, shut down windows firewall, the router has its own built in firewall so you're quite safe, and less conflict as a result.

Lastly, check your task manager and see if another instance of EIRRlauncher or CoH is running in the background, and force end task it before launching again.

Also there was a bug introduced on the latest version - after selecting your doctrine for the first time - you need to reset the launcher.

Otherwise it crashes on clicking to battalion etc

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Hey, I'm getting this info when the launcher crashes. I get so far as the login screen on the launcher but can't actually log in. I've tried the solutions already allocated to problems with the launchers and those don't seem to be working for me. I'm running XP, and I am the admin.

EventType : clr20r3     P1 : eirrlauncher.exe     P2 : 1.0.0.0     P3 : 49ec4bf9

Am I doing something wrong here?
