http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmpkJNi0uwM Tech demo they made back in 06/7
This is great news, then again... 650... ugh, I really do hope they get the funding.

They actually tried this once before about 2 years ago, granted, back then nobody knew about this whole crowd funding stuff so that didnt work out.

UT3's licences aren't cheap.

Oh, for the record?

As far as modern spaceship games goes, Nexus is by far the one to nail the "Large battleships in space" feel more than any other game, mostly due to how slow and methodical the ships feel. Don't confuse that with realistic or anything, but they really did feel like giant hunks of metal for the most part.

The multiplayer was really cool as well. I hope they get there money because I need another really good space game with realistic dmg and the ability to target systems/sections of the ship.

Such an amazingly good game, think I'm going to reinstall the original.

It's how all space combat games featuring large ships should be.
