The BAR upgrade for AB Riflemen costs 3 pool and there is no cost for regular Riflemen. It's too much pool costs for a basic unit. AB Riflemen already cost more pool than regular Riflemen even though they are exactly the same aside from paradrop.

Basically:
AB Riflemen BAR Squad 7 pool.
Riflemen BAR Squad 3 pool.
AB RR Squad 8 pool.

No, weapons cache is inactive. We have however made it so certain weapons cost additional pool that the infantry unit belongs to.

For example, double schreck storms is like +5 infantry pool.

So yes, intended.

So what kind of value do you place on the fact that AB rifles also have access to almost every option in their doctrine tree? (Regardless on if they work or not, the intention is that AB rifles have access to all paratrooper abilities)

Normal rifles have no such utility unless you're infantry company and even that has been balanced with the understanding that you can effectively get 20+ rifles in your company if you build it right.

Not saying that I dont agree that AB rifle BARs could be reduced, I just want to get your take on that.

They already pay for those small utility buffs and the ability to paradrop by being more expensive than regular Riflemen.

You get taxed to all hell on AB rifles.

Lets compare an AB rifle and a regular rifle with BARS

Regular Rifle
200 MP
80 MU
3 Inf Pool

AB Rifle
220 MP
80 MU
7 Inf Pool

Seven?! Because of a bar? Now first off the cost of the BAR is wrong. Look at all the AB rifle upgrades, nade is 35 mu, sticky is 65 mu, why is the BAR not 85 mu?

Second, as talked about we are already paying +20 MP +1 pool for AB rifles, and +5 mu for most of their upgrades, this seems fair, until you get to the BAR. If we kept in this direction shouldn't the BAR be +1 to pool cost and not +3? That's MORE than double the pool of a regular rifle.

Please explain how this is balanced or why it's like that. Groundfire you say that these AB rifles have access to all these AB buffs from the doctrine, so doesnt that mean the unit itself be affected, NOT the upgrade? That means as long as I'm not buying BARs I'm not getting punished, which makes no sense. Please, add +1 inf pool for all upgrades if you find it necessary, but don't make JUST BAR 3 pool.

At the end of the day they are just rifles, rifles that might capture fast, or drop fast, or maybe have AB armor, but they are just rifles.

AB has always gotten the short end of the stick for some reason. They dont have a lot of health, their armor is so so, they dont hit hard yet they cost a hella lot of mp, mu and pool.

I'm sure this is so they aren't spammed, which is what used to happen in eir 1.6 (all ab and croc coy <3) but in this environment, their mp cost AND pool restrictions prevent this from happening, i think as of now you can really only get about 10-12 AB and they die relatively easy.

AB needs a break, like a DOCTRINE, please...quit playing around fixing the other stuff and get on AB ffs.

AB  riflemen only needs like a 1 or 2 point pool reduction anyways, but why argue this ab.. isn't it being replaced anyway and pool costs retooled ??

Pool values should probably be revisited from scratch. It would take a lot of testing to discern what should be done for each unit.
