I want to review each of these maps to see why they are not getting played. I would like people who ACTUALLY PLAYED THE MAP to give their input on what they liked and disliked about the map. What could be done to improve the map.

The the owner of the map will have to the option to make the suggested changes or allow someone else to make the changes for them. If the changes are just too overwhelming and not worth the efforts, we will just remove the map.

Show Some respect:


People put a lot of work into these maps. Comments like "it sucks" will not be tolerated. Post useful, helpful comments or just don't post.
We need input from people who actually want to help and better the playing environment.

If you can't play nice, just don't post please.

If you need a screen shot of the map to show notes etc, let me know and I will unpack it and post the shot.

Good map, is different than other 4v4s and offers something different.

I feel like if Smokaz and Shab met up it would be a 50/50 tossup to see which one of them robbed the other first.

i have to say that it looks partly unfinished, chaotic and unreal. I also see the weather underlining that. It has some tight passages around the map that do support the negative view.

From the gameplay point of view though i have never seen a big issue.

But if u compare metz with schjindel, schjindel just gives u a nice looking map with a good weather and sense in the structure. That in mind, i prefer always schjindel if it comes to the decision.

Solution: give metz a small rework trying to give it a certain positive character. Changing the weather a bit, polishing the map and making it a bit more beautiful. For gameplay reduce the amount of tight passages.

BTW - I get tearing on my screen when I open this map. Does not happen with any other map or any other situation.

Any thoughts?

This area is a real pain in the Ass for spawn 1 this area has alot of trees and makes it very challenging to make it to the front in a timely manner the trees hamper Tank and infantry movement quite alot.


Alot of little objects in this area planes,wreckage,barrels. It was a pathing nightmare for flanking tanks.

Other then that only thing i can add is it's harder on the weaker end pcs.

Top left spawn pushing into bottom left spawn is far too easy as the bottom player has no space to setup whereas the top left player has alot of open space to setup support teams.

Never liked it personally, it doesn't look up to standard from a visual perspective (more something a WB rookie would throw out), by that I don't just mean the shitty choice of atmosphere setting, and the choice of buildings for the middle of the map is downright awful as the poorly layed out hangars and airfield in general don't offer much of an exciting combat scenery (lack of cover, no proper building placement for choke points, seemingly random building and hedge placement, etc)

If it was still up to me, I would outright remove it due to its failure to meet EIR map quality standards. It was given a fair chance at release, like every other map, but since no more development takes place on it or has taken place on it since it was released (the creator is inactive) it should just be removed. It looks outright unprofessional compared to almost all the other maps this mod offers.

I think there are far too many issues with this map to make spending the time to fix it, worth it.

hmm somehow i get the feeling that after u have fixed this map, its not metz anymore but a new map.

dunno if its worth to redo a full 4v4 map. i guess no.

Might as well make a new map from scratch, or use my old 2vs2 arras airfield and stamp part of it into a 4vs4 proper airfield map. This map is just plain terrible.

Ya, I think this map is beyond repair. But if you want to work on it, that's up to you. Trying to get it played my be difficult as the name will be it's downfall.

If you redo it, I would rename it.

Your efforts would be better  spent stamping anything that is good from it, or Unknown's map and starting fresh.

You never know, stamp the right map and you could become the god of mapping.......

This was a nugnug map he probobly made for jokes but somehow ended up in the mod.
