Oh yeah, sure does... However, doesn't mean it has to be a super, the one and only plane in arcade for that, does it?
It's no different really than the P-63 series or the P-39's. Those can all do the same thing. Arcade is a broken game mode though, they remove the downsides to most aircraft and expect it to stay balanced. The downsides to Yak's are that they handle poorly and have extremely limited ammo. In HB you can wait on their route back to base and kill them as you please, or just outmanuever them till they run out of ammo. Simple. In arcade everyone just reloads in 15 seconds anyway. |

Yeaaaah, having flown P63's recently, no, it's not the same at all.
Way less durability (mg's rip them to shreds in seconds) and the cannon only has about half the RoF

HB is nice to use rudder controls too, not a big deal in Arcade, but Arcade is terrible anyway.

In FRB it's full sim, from prop pitch to fuel mixtures.
HB is the middle ground and my favorite game mode.
