Well, we only know him from when he's playing allies, maybe he's even more shouty when he's playing axis - poor, poor axis players.

Hey, I'm new and I played my first game today. I lost by victory points, but took only 17 casualties while causing the enemy 40. I'm a bit confused on the territoy capture system.

Could anyone explain it to me in plain English (No Text Language Please)?

Any tips on capturing territory, and maybe being all sneaky like?

Regards, Walderschmidt

Walt im new here heres what i learn.... when you start an account and a company, the tatic you need to use is fight a little ran away and live to fight another day, the pro's are going to out number you so don't right them head retret all your units when there in risk and keep fighting like that try keeping 70 90% of your men alive all times unless there riflemen.

And keep fighting like that till you get resupplyed then you can get a bigger company.

If you have infantry in territory, you will capture that zone.

If you haven't played Company of Heroes in the past, at the top you will see two numbers.  These are blue (your team) and red (your enemy).  In the middle of these you will see a single star.  A blue star means you have more territory captured than your enemy and every five seconds they will lose the difference in zones.  (Ex.  If you had 10 zones and they had 7, they would lose three points.)  If that star is neutral then you and your enemy have the same amount of zones, and no one loses any points.  If the star is red, your enemy has more zones than you do, and you will lose points equal to the different in zones every five seconds.  In essence, the first player to get their opponent to 0 points wins.  However, if you are unable to keep an army on the field (Ex. Run out of units to call-in) you will automatically lose.

One sneaky way to capture territory is to put infantry inside halftracks, because they can capture while still being inside halftracks.

I've played Company of Heroes before, OF and Vanilla, so I have general tactics and such. Any more ideas on tactics?

Here's an example:

I have been sniped alot so I want to take out his sniper. Plus he has more forces than me, I want to level the playing field a little.

(1) I call in support of 1 mortar, 1 HMG, and a sniper.
(2) I set up my mortar and HMG and cloak my sniper and hold fire with him.
(3) I bombard his posistions and he attacks me with rifle men.
(4) My HMG suppresses and my mortar destroys the infantry.
(5) He snipes my HMG
(6) I force attack his sniper with mine.
(7) I watch as he runs away
