Alternatively, auto fire reveals your troops. How about you get your scrub ass out of the shit bin and pay attention to telling your troops when to attack things.
I'd rather prepare an ambush then have my dudes go American on some wood piles and barrels.

I've done this several times and it really is amazing. Sometimes they'll even deploy 2 or 3 mortars around it and you can make some nice hamburger. Also, snipers work perfectly fine without halftracks. Easily the best unit in terms of cost-effectiveness in the Soviet arsenal. |

It's amazing how many people forget to tell their guys to attack resource points. They really need auto fire enabled for them to stop that.
It's bugged to be honest, you have to click very precisely to be able to actually tell them to attack an OP |

While the 'competitive' scene has been whining, i have been setting up ambushes in deep snow using jager and watching as players walk there infantry by, lulled into false security as i didn't attack the OP
Although if you really are a good competitive player, whats one more mouse click? Is it really that much of a strain for those simple vcoh stompers?

Pros are idiots. Speaking as a 'pro' in numerous titles we will always complain that it's different, change sucks. And anything that impacts your ability to play effectively is instantly assumed to be a negative.
Personally if it were up to me the player would have to order his troops to wipe after shitting. That's clearly unreasonable. But I love having the fire/hold fire control over my troops.
Jaeger infantry is probably going to be my go to 1v1 commander choice(early CP's=early edge) so I'd prefer to not have them randomly shooting up everything and revealing themselves.

Snipers don't even need to get their hands dirty though. All you really need are a squad or two of Conscripts as a shield, and one or two sniper squads. Win every infantry engagement henceforth. |
