Gatta DL the whole motherfucking thing broski. I tried changing the files from the original directory to the steam one. Didn't work. Apparently steam changed it so you can't actually do that anymore. Wankers.
Worked for me, what i did was to rename the vcoh version to company of heroes relaunch, then i deleted the old coh game so i woulnt hvae to re download it, i then installed the relaunch version and in turn steam wanted to verify the allready existing files, when that was done it wanted to download the the changed files which in total ended up ad about 1.5 gigs to redownload.
