Having played against the airburst mortars my impression is that they are broken.

It is essentially a buffed version of the airburst offmap for 35mu (i think) on short recharge and with no warning.

Not only does it do extreme damage to infantry (i lost 3 of 4 grenadiers spaced out as standard to a single shell), it dropped the last man to the ground with suppression.

Staying in a house doesn't seem to do much, i lost the last 2 men of an mg to a single shell landing in close proximity to the bldg (not even on it)

Aside from the outright OP volatily, the spread and the fact it fires at least 5 shells (iirc), forces the player on the receiving end to clear out a huge area or run the high risk of being devastated.

Playing on my defensive company against it (which is more on the support heavy side), I felt I didn't have a chance in hell (for the 2nd time, playing this mod for 5+ years.  The first time was in a 4v4 against rca artillery spam stackers when that was broken) against a seasoned player using several copies of it (ie spamming).

Just my experience, I don't blame niko for being a new balance guy.

Yeah remove them.
But at least fix all the not working stuff which is  utility anyways.
I mean t4 is a drop time reduction, with the supporting t3 not working.
Other t4s ahh well............
Only reason u guys freaking out is that people use it(ab) , yet its totally bonkers

Ummm anyone remember the old eir, this would be a UP doctrine, to be honest , this doctrine perfectly fine with a few tweaks here and their, well done!!! All the other doctrines just need some life, quit QQ'ing for the love of god

After losing three full health gren squads in one hit (each; on 3 separate occasions, one squad was in a house), I endorse the removal of this unit, or nerfing it like it was an axis unit.

How about making the airburst offmap useful? Sure, it's not as bad as the WP strike offmap (NOTHING IS), but it could most definitely use some love.
