I wish I had a mauser, ammunition still very expensive? also it seems like kind of pointless to fire at such a short range target.

Sharks are not monsters Henley, they are cute, cuddly and misunderstood. They love humans. sometimes they love TOO much. They love people so much that sometimes their kisses separate people into two flailing pieces which are consumed by other sharks in a frenzy of peace and joy.

Yes, very expensive. 50 rounds cost almost 600 kr or 90$ more or less. FYI that was 80+ m on a windy day without scope. Not as easy as you think and im not sure what you mean with pointless. If you hunt you rarely fire on a target more then 80 m away without a scope.

Oh ok, it looked like 20 or 30 meters. But still you should be able to hit your target a couple of hundred meters away with some practice.

The exploded drawings and animations are super awesome to understand/watch how everything works in the dynamics. Someone put
a lot of work in it.

Book recommendation:
A new book describes how GIs and Wehrmacht together against the SS fought.

Stephen Harding: "The Last Battle: When U.S. and German Soldiers Joined Forces in the Waning Hours of World War II in Europe".
(Da Capo Press, Boston. 223 S., ca. 20 Dollar)

Now bear makes his own funny thread. It's unsurprisingly not funny.
