Granted models don't exist but your talking like everything the yanks invented is in game, and this is just the tanks.

Implement them?

I have the time, the knowledge and know how and all that. It would take a bit of time, that's even if the Dev actually want them.

I'm sure i could rustle up something up.

Lets see what you got.

If the model is UV mapped with a basic skin even, I can have it skinnned and most likely animated.

Send screenshots to me via PM

Also, my bit, yes Allies pretty much have everything they ever used in the war already in game.
Now we can start doing really rare prototypes, but that requires a modeler, someone to skin it and an animator. Everytime we try and implement our own custom models we get stuck somewhere. Someone doesnt know everything needed to pass it on to the next guy to work on it.

It is more work than getting out an RGD patch and even then, everyone has to be free. If one person is busy in RL, the content just sits.

The closest we've gotten to doing our own models is the M3 Lee and that's because it only needed animations.

So, yes the allied reward units are lacking comparatively. But there's nothing at all we can really do about it.

Majority of those did not even service in the world war II. M6 was cancelled as it was deemed unnecessary and same with the T series. Some were produced but never entered service. There was maybe on T14 but Churchill was superior to its design thus only 2 prototype models were deployed by the British. No combat service.

T-29, T-30 etc came in too late to enter service. Pilot models were made in 1945 and they came to service in 1947.

M7 medium was cancelled because M4 was just better.

If someone wants Pre-war tanks check T1 to T6 variants. If someone wants tanks made around 1925 haha.

T20 types never used overseas

There is nothing that says T23 never served in the war (although it never says it did), it might be useful medium tank if someone modelled it

T25 was unauthorized by army thus never entered into war however, in 1945 couple of them were shipped to Europe for testing.

Maybe M7 few models were completed even if M4 replaced it. There is a chance some of them saw service.

That's it folks. That is all the American (medium and heavy) tanks that were designed during the second world war.

Nightrain EIRR is not a factual historically accurate retelling of wwII .

Who cares if a tank only existed in blue prints or never saw combat.

Sheesh if that's your argument axis should have no airpower due to allied air superiority, and every game allies should get p47 - typhoon rocket strikes for free.

This argument is about expanding rosters for the sake trying to remove stagnation gameplay and builds.

Right, we have no problem from a development stand point of implementing rare pilot tanks, its just someone has to make them.

Shit, we have a T29, but its not animated. There are problems with it's wreck model and we just never got it together.

New Reward units are cool, unless they start to add a complete new dimension into the metagame. For example the Wespe is a real self propelled artillery piece which
was not existend in the arsenal of the Wehrmacht and the Fallschirmjäger Scharfschütze is a sniper unit which is accesable for all panzer elite companies.

Adding units which are doing a job which any other unit of the faction can't is cool stuff, but it may result in not accesable meta game shifts. That doesn't mean that I can't stand the units that I have mentioned before or that I want to restrict the completly use of it. But by adding more of this stuff it may break the interaction/roleplay of each faction.

(That was just reasonable personal statement from me. Maybe the dev guys can pick it up and re-evalute the core information of it in future when they engage reward unit stuff)

Wespe did serve under Wehrmacht as nearly 700 models were constructed. The name however was changed due to Hitler orders in 1944. Its production ended 1944.

Metagame is a ocean, when a storm arises it switches.

On another note.

UV mapping is another thing entirely. The main chasis can already be done with the exsisting church one. The turrret, is a diffrent matter. I never did UV mapping as i just created models and sent them off for UV Mapping. I learnt a tad, but never was able to get it arranged properly.

I gatta go and install 3ds max again and i'll open up the model. Actually. I swear i made a thread with it in.

Here:

Alright you german dogs, shake in fear as the allied tiger equivelent is here to crush your tanks. I give you... The Black Prince, the strength, armour, hp and speed of a churchill, boosting an armour cracking 17 Pounder cannon guaranteing that the allies make your armour appear inferior to this 112,000lb beast.

If someone can skin the turret my only request is that it has a small Scottish flag on the side. Because it can, that's why.

Uhhg, see that's were we get stopped. NO one knows how to UV map! Unfortunately its one of those things that the modeler is expected to do cause they have all the tools for it. (and i think that black prince needs smoothing)

I wouldnt care if the skin was just a blank color with no detail, if it was UV mapped, I could get it animated by someone and into game. We cant just animate a gray unit and put it into the game incomplete unfortunately.

Scotzman, if you learn how to UV map, I shall shower you in warmap units and you would be the first to use anything you create.

Here's a tutorial on it. Smiley

Meh, i'm sure i can make a UV map of it, but it would take a bit of time.

I'm just wondering who you actually have to animate that kind of thing. If anything, i might be able to re-use the animations from the church, but i can't remember for the life of me what the tank bone setup is like.
