I think it is principle of modding. Mods are not allowed to create money cause copyright and such terms. If EIRR started to produce money in exchange of goods it'd be a Free to play with pay2win feature and it would generate profit. I'm pretty sure mods aren't allowed to do that regardless of where the money goes. That would mean someone outside of Relic is making money with a game and its engine that isn't theirs.

But the money generated isn't going into someones bank account for new bmw and house, its purely to prolong the mod and upkeep for server. Its just a suggestion for incentive to donate. |

Regardless WHERE the money is going they are generating it with a game developed by a company who owns the copyrights and such. |
