Why don't the CW get snipers?.

why does this faction not receive a sniper?, especially since PE now has a sniper.

orlly?. so for 6 pool i can snipe 1 unit in probably a 30 range every like 3 minutes?.

FJ sniper as a standard unit is a mistake - it should be a reward unit.

Recon sqaud is CW sniper. With amazing attributes: cant be counter sniped, can snipe from bren carrier, is able to fight a bike back.

Pretty funny to know: Before these new docs there was the old terror of stalingrad, where Grens could buy a snipe shot. The allied tears about this were amazing.

Uh yea... all of PE support is pretty much vehicle based and vulnerable to ATG creep.  Only standard tool across the doctrines in the form of indirect was Mortar HT with its short range and the shit Stuka barrage.  Sniper was supposed to give them another counter against support weapon spam.

are you slow or something ?
So your saying for me to have an effective non doctrinal sniper, I first must spend 240mp 45mu and 5 pop.
I then must loose a few men from said squad and then and only then do I have an "effective" non doc sniper.
whose shots are on a 180s cooldown?.

Yeh you should definatly read out loud before you post pony to avoid this in the future

I think you misunderstand, it also duals as a great combat unit. It's like terror of stalingrad. Fight, get a few kills then use a few of them as low pop snipers. Probably one of the best units in the mod and favored by some of the best CW players (wind, myst etc).

The only time recons become a decent mainlinr inf unit is RCA top t4 coupled with an lt and vet 3 so sniper comes down to a cooldown of 90s

its 7 pool. for a unit that has enfields( one of the worst rifles ingame)  that can snipe 1 unit every some minutes. once you add in officers you might aswell forget pool in general.

in comparison you can have thompsons on rangers on a elite squad and i think make the same pool.

currently we are testing units without doctrines. i see no reason for this unit its fine with doctrines and at vet 3 without doctrines it's pretty shit.

Very well, it seems I DO have to explain to you why recon unit is 7 pool.

240 manpower 45 munition. 5 pop.
Unit has 5 members
Unit has Soldier armor
Unit has 4 Enfields 1 modified enfield
Ability to snipe a member every few minutes

Alone this doesn't sound like much, it sounds almost underperforming. In reality this tommysquad isn't bad. It has higher line of sight than any other infantry squad. Now imagine a company where there are 18 of these guys. Two recon squads on field 10 pop. Effectively removes 50% of enemy firepower with one volley. With officer and such this squad performs exactly the same as any other unupgraded tommy squad. It does not lose its sniper ability when it is down to 1 member. Now imagine 3 recon squads. 15 pop, ability to take out a support weapon and 75% of enemy squad strength. Naturally not all enemy squads are 4 men, there are few of those 5 men ones in forms of Pzgrens and volksgrenadiers which recon squad can properly engage and fight against.

To sum this up.

Cheap Spammable Sniper unit. This is why it is 7 pool.

I agree. Recon tommies should be 1 pool max. I'll come back to EiRR if this happens.
