Hi guys,

I'm not sure if an official announcement will be made or not, but I figure you all deserve to know!

The venerable Smokaz and I have been appointed as your new forum moderators, to fill the hole left by Tank.

I'm sure we will be able to come to a compromise where we are not too overbearing and strict, but not too laid-back either.

So consider this me saying hello, I'm sure Smokaz will pop his head in too.

In all fairness, I do understand your skepticism. No I've not been around much recently, that will however change now. I will be a hell of a lot more active, both on the forum and in the game itself.

I'm starting over with everyone on a new slate, so be a nice guy, and we'll get along fine. If you have a problem with me being appointed, fine, you're more than welcome to question it. Take your issue to EIRRMod and discuss it with him.

well good news i gues, thin ice is better than being in water lol, as new moderator you can show some mercy to windcriesmarry tbh and i believe i deserve a little compensation after such a furious insults and lies made about me by moderator who was before you tbh

Wind was given more chances then any other person in the history of this mod in regards to his attacks on the Dev team. When he chose to use PM's in a very malicious way was when Eirrmod & myself made the very tough decision to permanently remove him.

The important thing to note here is that his public posts are not what got him permanently banned. It was his PM's and malicious attacks.

His continuing efforts to smurf to gain access to the forums and to the launcher only strengthen the case against him. He has now completely alienated all but one person on the Dev team, and that person is just being polite.

The only person responsible for Wind's removal is Wind.

It may not be your call but you word carries more power with eirrmod than probably most of the devs.

I think you are confusing "Take it to PM's" with "using PM's to be over the top malicious towards dev members"
Just because a person uses PM does not give them permission to act as he did. Threatening people on a personal level is never acceptable.

No one is stopping him from getting a ventrillo account. As far as the server goes, there is a certain level of trust required for that. Unfortunately his actions created a strong feeling of mistrust. The only 2 people with access to the server is Eirrmod & myself (Phil has it, but he is not active). I only have access because I pay for it and must have access to pay for it.

You can only set up payments for the server via credit card. In order to set up the credit card, you must have access to the server.

Look, you won't even notice that we are mods. We'll be doing the same lowly grunt clean up job as eir moderators always have been doing and we don't get 10 super king tingers in the mail.

As for wind, I have no opinion on the action of banning him as I was not present when he got banned. But he was a funny guy and I liked him.

i say its good call get smokaz as moderator, i cheer up the guy who made him take this job and i feel like despite full moon halucinations he sometimes has smokaz is a great dude and gonna keep moderation fair, clean and un-biased. His karma allready moderated me, i wanted smack talk but thought twice and decided keep silence and respect to this well known and good player
