Well played. I sincerely hope Spain doesn't make it past group stage now.

Well, South American teams looking strong so far, along with North American teams.  Africa and Asia not so much...

Africa and Asia are never really on par with the rest of the world to be honest, but I definitely agree this is shaping up to be a very South American World Cup. The only European teams I see getting further than the next stage are France, Germany, the Netherlands and maybe Belgium.

Italy?  I didn't really see much of their first game vs England, so not sure how they looked, but they could be in position for a run.

I don't know why everyone (at least here in Europe) is raving about Italy to be honest. Granted they played well versus England, but they really didn't create all that many chances. They were simply very efficient in turning those few chances into goals.

I could be wrong, but I hope I'm not because they are generally a pretty boring team to watch.

P.S I hope US wins versus Portugal. It's really entertaining to see these underdog teams at work, they have a lot of soul and can even give the best teams in the world a serious challenge.

I hope Robben goes to Man United.
Sneijder can come too.
Blind can come three.

Yeah, with his history and what happened last world cup I gotta say Ive had it with Suarez.  I dont think it will mean much in his professional career in Europe, but I hope Fifa excludes him from at least this tourney and perhaps future ones.  Not even an "Im sorry", bad form.  At least we we now know why he has that crazy overbite.

In general though, Uruguay and Italy seemed overrated, and probably played the most boring and physical game of the tourney.  I wish they were both out, Colombia hopefully will take care of that.

So far, the class of the tourney has got to be Holland.  But, I don't see them winning the cup in Latin America, so the question is, who puts them out?  I seriously doubt Mexico can do it, but it should be one really good game.
