maybe it is enough to rework the moving of the Hetzer.

The Rotation Rate is a nightmare.
the Acceleration and deccelration is also crap. (1.3&2,7)
mand the maximum speed is 6,2

So i say give the hetzer the moving data of hotchkiss! maybe max speed of 7

cause lets face it. The problem is the inability to reposition for this Tank sniper.

i doubt ya ever used g-vagons and 50mm. Those 2 have the most fucked up pathing tbfh
every unit is capable of getting bad pathing. Its just a flaw in the unit AI.

Vechs without heavy crush are more effected but even KT and the like get hit by pathing woes.

I think giving it stug or marder dmg modifiers would  be the go.

I'd say a change in the pen tables would be better because it would become a unit that could pew pew pew the health of a sherman at range with decent armor

True, but with a reduction in pop and resources (8 pop and less fuel and mp), it could be then something that could survive at least boys at and zooks while killing medium tanks

Hetzer is a beautiful beast. An unforgiving one, a cruel mistress at times perhaps, and it will be damned if it's going to be ham fisted into a playstyle it isn't comfortable with, but if you learn, show it patience, give it time to grow and find its footing in a game while uncovering its particular fetishes and kinks and grow to love it... cherish it... give it only the best of your loving care and attention - she will make you proud to call her your own... sometimes.

The problem with the Hetzer is that it ain't no lazy mans park, click and win tank. And EiR meta is largely about the easiest unit to use that does the most damage is the most popular. The Hetzer is from a different time, when units had big weaknesses and subtle strengths and small contributions from multiple types of units were how you won games vs huge contributions from one or 2 "do everything" options.

So how do you use a hetzer?

Think of it as a diminutive little needler. It sits just behind your line much like a pak, always keeping its front to the enemy and next to a secondary piece of AT, and does small but steady (and accurate!) little damage. And front to front it can handle any tank you throw at it... and by handle I mean not totally lose its shirt while dealing back great range, decent pen (with ACPR) and good accuracy. And boy can she snipe! With a low splash but high accuracy your little hetzer will reliable pick off men from enemy squads every one or two shots. Not going to change the world against allied hordes for sure, but not too shabby either if kept around long enough. Played this way when it's just one medium cog in the wheel of your army  and it's not too hard to keep one on the field for 15+ minutes and find it has 20+ kills racked up on it. But only when its used conservatively, carefully, and you're not trying to completely overwhelm the enemy the same way you might if you were running AB/Ranger spam, or P4s/tigers and elite armour grens. The Hetzer is not that tank.

No, as above, the Hetzer comes from a simpler, more sophisticated time. When you set up a tidy little kill zone, lured the enemy in, took a shot or two, and then after a jolly round of lightly flogging the enemy retired for a small nap, a spot of tea, and leisurely prepared to do it all again a few minutes later.

It's a patient man's tank who has all the time in the world. It's the death by a thousand cuts. It's the train that could. It's the slow tortoise that wins the race... sometimes.

It's the hetzer.

Wind, I just opened my church and I am fully willing to wed men to hetzers, just 100£, strike now!

On a side note I haven't used it much, but I've found them rather resistant to HHAT if anything.

ive seen them reliably bounce zooks, RRs tho are another story.

Guess we gotta take winds word on it tho. Its a niche tank for the patient killer.

Non APCR Hetzer.

50 Range. That's 10 less than ATGs. 5 less from Firefly 2.3 more than a panther.

Vs Sherman 49% chance to penetrate from Longrange. 60% medium and min.
Vs Infantry 45% chance to hit infantry. Oh this is when infantry is standing still. It is only 25% when infantry is moving.

No damage boosts. Zero, zip. Even StuG deals more damage more reliably than this thing. Its saving grace is its long range and superior armor. 0.75% accuracy in long range 1 in medium and short.

87.5 Damage vs every target in game as a norm. Decent reload though. 4.5 - 5.5.

Armor. Hetzer armor
- Upgun Sherman 55% chance to penetrate from long range.
- 24% with Non-upgun Sherman.
- 25% with a Bazooka.

Yeah not a bad little machine.

Maybe hetzer dont fit so well into a game with unlimited pool. I don't see hetzer ACPR spam having the upper hand vs very many other builds.
