If OMG was better, then everyone would be at OMG and this thread would not exist......so a better argument may need to be presented.

I think the whole concept of balance is rather subjective. Perhaps their mod is more balanced for the type of game play they promote, but their game play is significantly different than EiR:R

I have nothing but respect for the OMG guys and this thread best not become "one of those" types threads.

There seems to be a tendency for OMG players to move to EIR and never look back. Considering how similar the two mods are, there should just be a merge, make it so you can select OMG gamemode in launcher. EIR with Medic and Repair bunkers, Pantherturm, Mortar bunker and vCOH repair 

However, OMG usually takes even longer to fill games and it's a hassle to get everything working with the launcher and everything just to try it out.

- AVRE's range beyond infantry sight with 1 minute cooldown.
- Vet reward units are powerful as fuck.
- FlammHT and Bren carrier can repair and shoot.
- Super Heavies like JT, SP, TA are also too powerful
- Repair system sucks (some heavies repair 40% of HP, some 75%).
- Stupid things like 5xG43 upgrade, insta-bang stickies and AB firing while still in the air or PE pathing system.
- Shitload of bugs.
- Abilities (off maps) cost no munition or fuel atm.
- No disadvantage for stacking.
- Even bigger shitload of other bugs that are just waiting to be fixed for more than 6 months now.

Also, I asked for not posting stupid images and comments if you're NOT INTRESTED. You guys probably don't even know, that OMG received some patches lately.
Could devs delete some unrelated posts, please ?

Like I said, OMG recieved some patches and we're trying to overcome the lack of players. Just hope you guys can play at this weekend.

EiR was a great mod 1 year ago, when the balance was still in here. Last patches just changed the whole meta and crushed the balanced.

Which patch was that? The thrilling April patch from 2013 or the incredibly recent September patch from 2013? You realize even the forums are more or less dead except for a thread called "The end of omg balance". (Thats actually what its fucking called) A thread that explicitly states its never being patched again except for maybe a few standout issues. I've played OMG, its dead and contains just as many broken units. Go use those weird fall sniper squads. They're hilariously broken.

So despite having played since it was last patched I haven't played recently so I have no idea what state OMG is in? DESPITE HAVING PLAYED THE CURRENT VERSION WHICH ISN'T CHANGING IN THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE, I know nothing. Makes sense, you're right Gary, I should just show myself out. I'm such an ignorant fool.

The last patch I could find was here:

and that was back in September of last year....................

If anything, EiRR is even better now that our Dear Leader Myst has become balance lead and that pool has been removed. Plus to boot we have been getting patches at least every month. It shows in the fact that we can get 25 players on in a day still while OMG stands empty.


In addition, I have played the current version, and it was still a support weapon camp fest over there.

I don't actually even dislike OMG, but you don't make a thread about playing OMG on EIR's forums, thats just bad form you mong. As for not having played recently, who's anyone gonna play with? The ghosts of OMGs former community which was never that big to begin with? I've played since they last patched it, and it is hardly some bastion of perfect balance standing tall above EiR. Seems more fun and balanced because you probably got some easy games and felt like a pro. L2Play nub.
