well i suppose you can word it like that but my solution the the problem was going to the boot sequence screen on the motherboard and just rename it, kinda solved it but still messed up some shortcuts
well it was my mistake to begin with anyways for having a working version of windows xp on that disk but that happend with windows 8, dont know id its applicable to your problem.

i dont think we are dealing with the same problem as i did.
it might be a hidden pardition disk that is cousing the mixup?
what version of windows are you using?
for me when it happend it didint rename the file location path, just the disk name so what might be the problem here is that when the computer was set up the harddrive was split into smaller parts and the
section was put as hidden or corrupted somehow.
