As the name of the thread implies, I did it. On my resume I've written that I've helped balancing EiR to an extent quote on quote "I wasn't exactly a balance lead, but I've been indirectly helping out with finding bugs and exploits". I've also written down a few CoH2 mods and the fact that I'm decent with story writing as a DM.
HR: "So u weren't working as a game designer before, correct?" Me: "No, but I have plenty of experience with finding exploits, balancing and storywritting, all being the job of a decent game designer." HR: "This is not wrong, but are you sure you'd be up for a job, this is mostly WW2 and Fantasy centered game designer experience and we're making [blank]." Me: "Yes, I'm sure, if you want to you can ask (already gave them a link to every mod listen) this person -> Volsky, that guy -> Ragnar (CoH2), preferably using PM's in the forums or in the discord (Gave them link to discord during the interview)". HR: "OK. We have a lot of candidates, we'll be picking the best 2 that we want to work as a team (I've also noted that game design decisions in the modding experience were decided upon in a group discussion, so I had experience with this as well).
LITERALLY NEXT DAY I GET THE MAIL.
Yo, get in here, u got the job.
I cannot tell what I'm currently working on due to the privacy policies, but it's gonna be a simulator game. Afterwards it might be a WW2 game of my own design, similar in nature to Mud and Blood 2/3, but in modern standards.
Oh and btw, I'm thankful they didn't actually DM any of the people I gave links to, cause Jesus imagine if they asked literally anyone else in here but Volsky (they didn't contact him either).
