New IP is set: 192.168.2.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway is: 192.168.2.1

I try to release, it says The operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation

I try to renew, it says the same thing...

are you trying to release a static IP (one you put in?) or a dynamic one?  It only works on dynamic, so all your settings should be set to automatically get the IP...

Now this doesnt work with port forwarding so, that could be your problem.

Yea, release/renew is only valid if you have it in Obtain IP Address automatically.  You need to keep resetting your modem until you get an internet connection under that IP 192.168.2.2 and can access those links I gave you.

Yes, it will say that unless you change your IP back to 192.168.2.2

If you change it back, you can click on that dmzcfg.htm and set it to the default selection (I believe was the top radio button).  Click Apply and reset your modem.  It may be beneficial for you to keep using 192.168.2.2 instead of going back to obtain IP address automatically (DHCP).  That in itself might resolve some issues since your modem is pretty picky.

http://192.168.2.1/fwcfg.html

You may also want to check that link and turn off the firewall if it's on.

So as far as things go, what should I have selected here?

Current DMZ Status:   Enabled
Current DMZ Host IP Address:   192.168.2.10

 Options Below
->Disable DMZ  (-> means it's currently the selected option)
-Enable DMZ with this Host IP address:    192.168.2.10
-Enable DMZ with this Host IP address   (Same as above)
 2nd set of options
 -Make Settings Permanent
->Make Settings Last Until Modem Reboots
 -Make Settings Last For:   minutes

Let's leave your IP at 192.168.2.2 and set the DMZ to that...  Can you take a Screenshot of that DMZ screen and post it for me...

When you went to that screen was disable DMZ selected?  That's bunk!

Click Enable DMZ with this IP Address: 192.168.2.2

Click Make Settings Permanent

Click Apply

Turn off your modem and back on...

Re-access the DMZ page to see if the settings stuck.
