1) Games generally last about 1 - 3 hours at the very max for a game on fast setting but at normal speed they can take about 5 hours or more Tongue.

2) No clue Wink.
It will probably get ditched a little when EiR 2.0 comes out but I'm very soon the occasional Sins game will be played as it's a very fun game to play with people on Vent and they plan a lot of additions and patches for Sins as well Tongue.

I hate the game of the month games... something you do for fun for a little while then stop playing it because no one will play with you.

that said, does Sins fit that role?

for me, no , it does not.

I use to play a star trek turn based galaxy domination game and reach for the stars galaxy expansion game for hours over months and months and still to this day would pick them up once in a while.  Sins is the ultimate galaxy game as far as expansion, and rts combination goes.  If you even have 1 friend to play with this thing will last you forever and a year.

the games average a few hours MINIMUM... BUT the big thing here is you CAN save and reload later... so you can play some epic games over many different sittings, if you find people willing to do so.

I think things like EiR will have more lasting power simply because you have more people to play with, but Sins is not something I forsee ever coming off of my hard drive and even if the EiR community stopped playing it, it will not be easy for me to get my friends to play this with or even sit down against the computer, as most of this style of game previously was generally computer oriented its not that much of an issue.

Capital Ship mod (Turning into a bit more mod)

Changes include Capitalships getting more powerful, as well as a graphical Rate of Fire increase for a bit more action and a better look.

-Capital ship HP doubled from original game
-Capital ship damage doubled from original game
-Planet defense platforms changed to Capitalship damage type, damage and range increased
-Pirates now bring it! Akkan class battlecruiser fallen into pirate hands.
-Kol class has gained a bit of a boost to its Gauss Rail
-Kol class no longer fires its beams forever
-Carrier Capitals and Support/Colony Capitals ships fighter bays larger
-Scouts now autoexplore when built
-Phase Jump Inhibitor now with more Better™, 100% better.
-Kortul Buffed slightly to better match Kol and Radiance.

Very cool, but it sounds more like a balance mod. Wink
