Best thing to do is look up German names, after you have had the dog for a few days and know what its temperament is you can get a good name for him.
I have had 4 Akitas and each of them have had Japanese names since they are Japanese dogs. Nadoka (means quite, she was) Ryoka (means like a Demon, which he was) Kuma which means bear and Sokari which means sweet and tender.
Best advice I can give you.

... call the poor GERMAN shepherd snowball and be done with it ... or let my daughter name it for you, you'll get something like Princess brownie!
