The Axis has better infantry, better tanks, better vehicles, and better weapons teams. Undecided

SO, what if Riflemen had global upgrades like they do in vCoH? Say, make BARs cost 800mp, 300mu, and 200fu ? (I don't know if those costs are good, I'm sort of pulling it out of my ass, but you know what I mean.)

That way, we'd see some vetted Riflemen on the field and less vet 3 Panthers/Ostwinds/Storms that we see in literally every game.

(Don't flame me too hard, I'm still relatively new to EIR)  Cheesy

I'm just saying maybe Riflemen should be spiced up a tad, that way not everyone and their FUCKING MOM plays Axis 24/7.

gain vet a whole lot faster.   Undecided

That not true.

Riflemen(1.6)
1 Accuracy - 1.25 Received Accuracy - 0.8
2 Cooldown - 0.75 Received Suppression - 0.75 Received Damage - 0.85 Longer sticky bombs
3 Accuracy - 1.2 Damage - 1.5

Grenadiers(1.2)
1 Health Regeneration      0.022
2 Upgrade Armor to Infantry Elite
3 Maximum Health     1.2

Now vGrens usually beat vRifles we can mostly agree on that, but both of these units need 8 XP for there first Vet 1. Rifles have a better Vet modifier and Grens give 2 XP when they die. So most of the time Rifles can gain Vet faster. and which would you want? .022 Health Regeneration or 1.25 Accuracy and .8 Received Accuracy?

Might as well kill this myth.  Look at the unit company leaderboards.  Notice that most of the best units and companies belong to allied players...  The larger squad size for the same pop makes it much easier for a squad to survive on the allies than on the axis.  Also, allies win more than axis (the territories if you don't believe this obvious fact) and thus get to keep their vet.  Axis gain vet, on average, slower than allies.

EDIT: Holt, good points.  Posted a bit faster than me.

Alright, congrats, you killed the myth of vet. (Riflemen still die faster than Grens, thus Grens get vet faster)

So, let's talk about those global upgrades I suggested.

Actually, with the new vet, Vet 3 rifles are better than Vet 3 grens. They also have more HP per squad to start. Allied tanks are actually superior if you didn't know that, with the Tiger and KT being the only ones capable of taking or challenging a Pershing head on.

I'm just refuting the opening line of your post. Also, it would have to be more like 500mp, 1500mu

WTF is this?  Read what everyone else is saying, axis gain vet slower than allies. Rifles gain vet faster than grens.

It takes more for a Rifle to kill a Gren than it does for a Gren to kill a Rifle. That's why I said that.

Now stop.

I think riflemen give 1 xp while grens give 2 xp.

global upgrades may not be a bad thing as long as they have to be unlocked through CP's and are very expensive to buy.  Also, the suppression fire would have to be an additional per-squad upgrade or at least weakened to the point that the inevitable spam of it doesn't completely destroy the axis.

Sure, if it was a 1v1 fight, but Rifles have overall more health then a Gren Squad. (Rifles 55HP per man Grens 80HP per man) and Grens give 2 XP so you need at least 3 Grens kills for your Rifles to gain at least Vet 1.

The problem I have personally is being a new player and going up against vetted storms and ostwinds, and none of my guys have vet, so i get raped.

do you get more points for killing a vetted unit then killing a normal one?

and i think global upgrades would be pretty cool, but i don't want to say how needed it is, since im new.

My available companies:
Allies:
*AB company going for raid assault
  Infantry going for tank reapers
Axis:
*Defensive going for rocket artillery
  Blitz going for lightning war
And an experimental Terror company going for subversion consisting of all volks and two King Tigers

I think global modifiers would 1) be difficult to balance and 2) make rifles less interesting because there would be less ability to customize your squads.

hrmm didnt it appear to u that all the axis machinery in ww2 was superior to the allies?, mabye just cause the axis ran out of fuel, and were overrun by spam tactics was cause they lost, this is the problem i see with people, they think allies should be just as good as the axis, well as a matter of fact the allies sucked compared to them, just cause they could spam so much is how they won

Well, Allies just plain suck. The only reason I play them is because we need more Allies.
