i just got done playing a game, total snipers in both companies, 11

in my opinion, there should be a limit to snipers per company, as in 2-3

each sniper is 7 pop, and either 70? or 95 mun each (depending on side). that's a lot of resources that can easily be killed if they are not vetted, just bring out tanks and AC's Smiley.

But as axis snipers are annoying as hell since we only have 3,4 or 5 man squads.

It was a defensive game, you cant advance because one guy has airborne - tanks and the other mostly snipers.
you cant cap, and youre basically waiting to die.
Bikes you know cant do shit if theres at out.

Yeah whats the point if two sniper shots reduce your unit in half, then you have to pull em off cause of enemy infantry and tanks, and your atg cant do anything also, cause its been captured because fail to protect it, so you cant basically advance and bring any tanks cause you havent cap, and its super awesome how fun that is.

It was 8 snipers and you guys had what 4/5?

And tbh, since axis mortar > allied mortar, axis mg > allied mg, Pak > AT gun, snipers are one of the few reliable defensive counters that are available to allies.

There were never more than 3 snipers on the field at any one time and for most of it only 2.

Oh man, that game was ridiculous, every time we killed a sniper I thought we were going to advance only to find two more snipers behind of it. I didn't know how they afforded bars with all those snipers.

Its a horrbile strategy to play against. Fair enough to play it. It does work, but it kinda kills the game a bit. I dont advocate any more price increase to the snipers otherwise they're totally unviable. But I will say its not just snipers anymore. If this war is gonna go on so long could we please get the avaliblitly back to the game?

Also, I lost a game due to not enough anti-infantry units, so airborne get double damage at each vet level.

Such as making it so each company can only have so many of each elite unit (perhaps including certain doctrine units?) but leave in the infinite available units?

So your company can only have 3 snipers at one time, but you have an infinite pool to recruit from. Same could go for KTs, Tigers, Pershings, Calli's, Rangers, Stormies, etc.

I got a vet 3 sniper, well worth the cost but expensive as hell... I can't see how someone spams them without being severely handicapped on his other units... Wink

lol everyone wants it put back in, but FL says that limited new players too much, or pissed off players too much when they lost the ability to reinforce with that unit type.

IMO it made the game that much more realistic...play smart, not stupid.

But, since FL and Ucross dont like it, it wont be put back in.
