Isn't it versterkhung or something like that. I know it is a "k" in there somewhere.

Zisterne=tank

Are you thinking of an ordinary tank, as in water tank? Because tank as in armoured vehicle is "Panzerkampfwagen" or "Panzer" in short.

Is that what they teach you?

Horrible.

versterhung  Verstärkung   (ä = ae if you dont have äöü)

Übergabe Aufgeben = surrender
'Feindes feindlicher Panzer Gesichtet'  (Enemy panzer Sighted)

Führen Sie Sie der Lauf von ami!=Run you ami's run!

Führen Sie Sie der Lauf von ami = woud mean;
Lead the run of the american.

Rennt ami´s rennt!  =  Run you ami's run!

a "Zisterne" is an very old style water reserve tank

'Feindes Panzer Gesichtet' (Enemy panzer Sighted)
'Linker Flanke' (Left Flank!)
'Rechter Flanke' (Right flank!)

Enemy panzer sighted = feindlicher Panzer gesichtet
left flank = linke Flanke
right flank = rechte Flanke

german grammar is a bitch, you wont get it right even with a dictionary but if you want to learn some things type the english stuff and we will translate Smiley

(for example "on the right hand side" can be translated "rechter hand" , there you have that R at the end. same could be translated "rechts gelegen" with a S at the end and no E)

Zisterne=tank

cistern = Zisterne
Panzer = tank

u mean tank as something like a container

then tank = Tank

e.g. fuel tank = Benzintank/Treibstofftank

and "filling a fuel tank" = tanken

gas station = Tankstelle  slang: Tanke (shortcut)

but dont mix it with Tanker = tanker ship and not "tanker" (engl.) because this is more  a shortcut for "Tankwagen"
