Building a colony
«
on:

I'm just curious, when you guys build colonies what do you build in them? I figure it's kind of pointless to upgrade all the buildings or to build it like im building my capitol.

My available companies:
Allies:
*AB company going for raid assault
Infantry going for tank reapers
Axis:
*Defensive going for rocket artillery
Blitz going for lightning war
And an experimental Terror company going for subversion consisting of all volks and two King Tigers

I skipped the Hideout completely (for now), Embassy, and Workshop.
Only upgrade my Town Wall, Trading Post, Dry Dock, and Barracks to be on-par with my capital.

Everything except for Embassy and Workshop. Also, the warehouse in my colonies is only lvl 3 compared to lvl 9 in main town.
The rest I try to upgrade as much as possible, just like in my main town.
My Town Wall is at level 3 in all towns. Shipyard lvl 3 in all towns for Ballista ships. Trading port lvl2 in capital, lvl1 in colonies. Trading post lvl5 (hoping 7 soon) in capital, lvl3 in colonies. Museum atm lvl2 in all towns. Barracks lvl5 in colonies for Ram, so I can send out pillages from there too. Lvl7 in main town for archers.

I need to do that as well, there's no room on the EIR island, you need to kill someone...
In the face.
However, I just colonized on the island next door...

Just so you know, for each colony you need one level of your Palace. The level 3 costs already 20000 wood, 6000 marble 4500 crystal (or something along those lines).

btw, another method of building colonies is building only a warehouse, town hall and tavern. Without a trading port, you can only get pillaged for 60 resources as a time.
It only works if you only want to use your colonies to get those resources and ship them off to your main town.
I just prefer to build up a town and send out pillaging parties from everywhere

And you need a govener's palace in each of those colonies = to the number of colonies and they cost the same as a palace. 1st step of corrution is 9% then its 16% then i susp[ect probly 20-24% for the 3rd, so unless u up the Govener's building expext 20% corrution on colines if u have 3 of them
