Haha, Japanese Danmaku games. I've played a few (Touhou series) but my friend is very very skilled at them. He has beaten several of the Touhou games on hard and I think even once on lunatic. I've personally never found these games to be very fun. I'll get bored of them in less than a day of solid play.
