60% is correct.  However I'm sure a t-test on those current numbers would reveal little significance, so don't be too drastic with any changes.

Do you guys (the devs) actually do statistical tests on the data you get from games?

Only somewhat, there are too many variable involved to derive too much such as an individual's skill.

No.  Only in my head and approximations.  I don't run it through.

Interesting.  I wonder if there is enough data that you could do some multivariate analysis while controlling for skill by using win % as a surrogate indicator of skill?

too many variables to control for - the data would be fairly meaningless

Trends are what you can gather from the limited numbers, and trends are easy to estimate rather than calculate.

Current game numbers are not significant enough for me to even pay attention to those win/loss stats  Wink.
But it's an interesting statistic either way. You'd also need the game details, a lot of those games could for instance be stacked or clearly favoring one side by player skill.

There's lies, there's damned lies and then there's statistics.

you would need to control the player base into being the same people, to get a reliable figure.

that makes no sense, if anything a dentist should have a natural flair for the factual truth of the situation.  WHY YES THATS A CAVITY...

now if we start talking about someone from Belgium, thats a different story Wink

I run all stats through StatGraphics. And it gives me pretty graphs.

I was just talking about this the other day after playing 2 games of Neunen.
Look at the defensive wins.  The sectors are a little funky, though I like the map.  Somebody should take a closer look~
