The only game where people didn't like playing it, was when I had a test game in EiR.  All of the O:MG games, people loved it.

I loved argentan, but remember TLS showed out of 40 matches, 38 won from starting on the field side, but i believe you had changed it again after that no?
The thing about that, though, Salan, is that the only reason that happened was because of meeting engagements.  The map played extremely well in the normal attack/defend style of play, though.

Might I add, Puddin, where do you get that you need the same people with the exact same setups for every test battle on every map needing testing?

Meeting engagements are pretty horrid. If they are popular though, there could be a case for getting them in between attacking and defending like when a counter attack begins.

In OMG you can Flank Speed + Charriot Carrier push to the axis spawn to disorientate the enemy so that your team mates can set up a front line and lay mines/tank trap so meeting engagements are pretty fail.

Not five in five score,
But ninety-five more;
All, save only Hermann,
And Hermann's a German.

You're the third mapper that gives me this kind of response, everyone on EIR is so hateful towards new maps while on OMG they're so much more open.

Honestly I don't really believe this can be the case, it's all derived from a single community.
Since you made your map exclusive however, I don't think there'll be any way to proof anymore Tongue.

The only reason they are more popular in OMG is because the maps such as Lolto's paviliion and dutch riverside and laya are already pre installed.... so it saves a few hours getting noobs to download and place the maps properly....

Really... Mapers in the COH community are about a dime a dozen.  Sorry to be blunt.  It doesn't really matter that some newer maps won't be played on EIR, because there will always be more new maps.  Hell, I know that AmPm and you Unkn0wn are working on some now, and I'm sure as always there will be a new vCOH player who will come along and add his work to the module, so all of this discussion is a bit moot.

To address Unknown and Brad...

I'm not lying about this.  I had one (one = singular) test game with the EiR mod.  The people who played it said it sucked.  The VERY first game, and so far all of them, in O:MG, have been successful.  You go ask the people who played in the first (and only) test battle from EiR, and you ask every single person who played it in O:MG.  There's quite a difference.  Now what I don't understand about this, is that both mods currently have very similar battle styles.  So either I conclude that the EiR mod is not compatible for the map, or I go ahead and tell the testers for EiR who volunteered just suck so hard and are completely closed minded about new ideas.

And Brad, people have been playing Dutch Riverside before public release, and might I add it gained popularity in the alpha.

I hate when people just assume things when they themselves don't know what they're talking about.

Must say though makes maps so much more enjoyable when you dont have to walk a noobie through everything.

Just know that I am stating fact on this issue.  The EiR testers hated it, the numerous O:MG testers loved it.

Also, Brad, the EiR testers that played it weren't new to the mod.

No it wouldn't be, liar.
You're just saying that because you KNOW just where RTC would be. Or arras, at that. Or Abbeville.
Wink.
Not to mention, you already know who'd be taking the lead, and with what maps Wink.

Glory fades, my dear.
