Need to add all sorts of stuff still, more defenses around the back ends and so on.

Looks nice; trench lines seem a little long though, without any breaks in the front of them.

You should add a runner's trench, it was common to have a running trench going. Since most likely the front had been moving back and fort. So old supply trenches should be added...

exactly, the trench system will be enlarging, and when its shape is about where I want it then we can work on breaks in the line. Majority of MCP will be between the trench lines.

interesting!

be hell for tanks, but not all maps need a maze of hedge rows!

Those trenches look a little too straight and tidy. Its especially hard to dig a trench next to a tree trunk, and usually you build them more zig zag to be easier to defend.

well he has a game system to work with, can't exactly do much about that.  but if you notice the ss, it is zigzaggy compared to most trenches you see.

If you want too be evil, maybe you can make some random mines spawn in the center of the trenches, just too make it interesting.

Either way they will look like they were built by professional trench makers, thats the game engine and can't do much about it, also can't add junk inside the trenches (too narrow) because it would block movement, I will add splats and such to make it all battley looking.

i wonder if you could make a mine field between them though.  that would be kinda neat!

open land, but a mine field Wink

But im hoping you could make som areas in the center 50 - 50 to have mines. Would make people think twice about going out there.

If you could that would make it really interesting, since the mines would be in different places every time you play the map.

i don't think you can randomize it without a lot of scar coding.  and adding scar coding can crash a lot of things ... games already scar heavy Sad

would be interesting with a mine field eitherway.

axis would have a harder time with it, volksgrenediers don't like minesweeping Wink

What going to be interesting is the increase in use of flamethrowers and SMGs to clear trenches.

That sorta stuff is not very processor heavy - since not all the code would be read each time, only the parts picked at random, BUT there would have to be quite a few setups for the code to choose from.

Good too hear, but is someone who knows coding willing to do it?

Tongue, i am currently halfway through a AB raid mission, and a in-game tutorial style SP mission <--- really hard to get the voice over sounds in Sad.

I don't think putting random mine fields would be a good idea, the defenders will already have the benefit of large amounts of green cover being at their disposal. I hope this map doesn't turn out to be a WW1 trench warfare map, trenches were actually a lot less common during WW2.

While there were definately some quick trench positions, the majority of the soldiers had to keep their feet warm in foxholes Wink.
