Just picked this up the other day. I like it, though I can't imagine how slow multiplayer games would feel though...

Well in HoI I didn't have to worry about stopping to analyze relationships and whatnot while rerouting trade routes.

Won't be able to pause in multiplayer Tongue

Oh? Hm.

I may give it a go after I get a little more used to it.

But doesn't it progress slowly at Normal speed?

Also I think the research speed is currently broken (I modded it to fix it plus I upped casualties so battles actually means something).

Looks good may get that game, I've wanted to dip into the Civilization franchise as well, are these two gamestyles similar?

I wonder which nations would be unplayable in multiplayer in terms of balance...

Round 1 : Carthage vs Rome

In a bold and brilliant move, Carthage moved through to secure a foothold on the Italian peninsula through the remaining Greek colonies before Rome was able to uproot them.  Threatened by this act, Rome declared war on Carthage as soon as they established control.

Several lengthy clashes later, Rome gives in to Carthaginian demands, and Carthage turns back to putting down several sizable rebellions at home.
