lol i rolled france so fast it wasnt even funny. ya i was a little surprised being declared war on in 1939 by america. had to get poland in like a week to achieve my objectives in france. also in invasions of norway and yugoslavia went off without a hitch so that was cool. Turkey joined the allies tho Sad

what difficulty is the CPU? fighing off poland and france on vh/vh is bad enough without a human france on your back.

No, i had rebels in a colony where i had no troops at all, at the other side of the world.
So i thought; Hmm if they overtake all territorys they create there own nation and declear war on me....
So lets just liberate them, they love me and i can use the rebels!

So i did that.
What i didnt know is that dissent skyrockets.

So the same thing repeated and i was like; awesome, free army!
Then the decent went crazy and in the end france itself was being overtaken.

From what I read on the Fourms, Whenever I will play w/ Human players I'm going to need to station some Divisions on all my coastlines to prevent easy landings.

The AI will do that on occasion if you leave your coastlines unguarded, too.  It's a good idea to at least keep second line units there.

You dont need to garrison all your coastlines, though you can buy cheap garrison units.  Even 1 o 2 garrison divisions can hold off quite a few divisions if they are trying to assualt from the sea.  Plus unless they land with a big enough force to secure the beachhead its very easy to cut them off and destroy their invasion force.

What happaned in Thtb's picture isnt the norm.  You wont normally see brazilian troops landing in Anzio.  He was able to take that because the game was already lost for the Axis.  Germany/Italy were fighting the russians on the east front.  They left no garrison or reserve troops in normany or even germany to prevent a landing in France.  USA entered the war in July 1941, by December I had liberated Ireland and France.  There was no resistance until I hit germany.  At which point i set up a line and Russia just pushed from the other side.  1-2 months later gametime the game was over with berlin and rome captured.

Yeah, learn that the firist time when playing as Nationalist China since I had the Northern Front "Semi-controlled" but, I didn't realise they had landed behind me until I wonder what are causing all these Terrtory lost popups. Anyways I usually station Miltias at the coastline or maybe even garrisons(They do an even poorer job then militas however), but for my first online game I might have to station regular Infantry Divisons.

Edit: My preferance is Militas over Garrisons since if they lose then they are gone forever and can't retake a beachead. I had a time when Japan assualted from the sea from one of my areas they manage to push me off with alot of Infantry Divisons against my mix of 1 Garrison and 3 Militas.

Well the trick is to have an army near by to respond in case the garrisons are defeated.  Anyone landing is gonna be out of reinforcements for awhile since they are bringing troops from far away most likely.

If the garrisons are defeated you take your defense force and cut them off from supplies.  If you cut off their link to the sea they go out of supply and perform a lot worse,  their tanks grind to a halt because they are out of oil as well.  Then you encircle them and defeat them.

Also if you have a decent navy it is very easy to stop invasion forces.  Amphibious assaults take time, if you have naval fleets nearby you can simply move them into the sector with the transports and destroy the transports and their landing army before it even gets on dry land.  And even if they manage to get on dry land, you just park your navy off the territory they just landed in and then set your ships to hunt the convoys.  This will put his landing force immediatly out of supply.  His tanks wont be able to move and his infantry divisions will be disorganized thus making them easy to defeat.

Its not hard to prevent coastal assaults if you know what your doing.  And you really dont even need to have much of an army defending your coast if you have a large enough navy.

Well Nationalist China Naval Fleet is pretty much non-exsitant compared to the Japanese Navy so I really can't prevent a landing w/ a fleet as China, but I see your point as other Countries it is vitable.

Yeah I guess I should have reserves always a little bit behind the landing area to counterattack.
